Thank U Thank you! YES she is!!! - Again thank you for taking the time to assist me |
Hello to Sir Lee-Roy in South Africa from Sir Remington in New York, USA! |
You will LOVE saphire (Sheilagh) |
I love your action pics. Your Yorkie is darling. Mine have short cuts. Makes me want to let their hair grow, except one looks too square with long hair. |

I llive in Johannesburg (North) Grew up in Durban - Love Africa every "root"and part of it. My parents live in Robertson not too far from CT Thanks for the compliment - Yes Lee Roy is very photogenic!! LOL |
Where about in Durban? Are Yorkie's popular in SA? Here people are just crazy for them. I never thought that I would have a Yorkie. We adopted him at 9 months since the lady that owned him could not take care or did not want to take care of him anymore. So, my husband and I got brave and adopted him. This was a big thing for us since we have no children but he has worked out so great. He has become the love of our lives not too mention our child!! I just bought my parents this great pillow that says" Let me get this straight my grandchild is a dog". They were here for Christmas and my dad just feel in love with him. We talk alot on my Skype with the camera and so my dad still gets too see him. When Clunkers hears his voice he gets all excited!! |
Westville in DBN - Hated the humidity!! Yes Yorkies are "very" popular I do not see as many as I would like to see though..my only frustration is we do not have places like you do over there with all the goodies you can buy for them. We do have a few shops but the items are YAWN!! boring! "I did manage to get him a "SPRINGBOK" rugby shirt - Yipeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! Will post pics of him in it when I get a minute!! I am trying really hard to grow his fur, He hates to have bow's in hair though! Typical "South African Male" lol. Went to a baby shop todat and also got hm a few clips... will see how they work out. |
Hi Lara! I'm not South African, but I know we have a few members who are and they're delightful. :) I'd love to visit SA. My friend's grandparents live there with some of her aunts and uncles, and she went to visit them about a year ago. The pictures she brought back were incredible -- it looks so beautiful! |
How funny! I grew up in Westville aswell! Went to Westville Girls High School. |
Awesome - Westville is a great area - Will you ever come back! |
Too live I am not sure! Since I am married to an American and he has his business here the chances are pretty slim. Who knows maybe when he retires. I will always visit no matter what. I do visit quite abit. The last time was for my 20 year school reunion. Now that was interesting! Landed up in Westville which was great and had so much fun. We have a great doggie boutique down the road. They sell just the best things. Clunkers is very spoiltnd He has some great sweaters even though he hates wearing. He has no choice since it does get very cold in VA during winter time. |
You are so lucky to have a store so close - do post some pics even if they are not the most recent, would love to see them |
If you are looking for clothing, there are some great sellers here on Yt that sell great clothing, and very stylish. something to think about.. Have a look in the sellers section.. you will be in awe...LOL Your baby is very handsome I must say.,.. |
Hi there fellow South Africans!!! Good to see a few more on here ( even if you are ex S.A ):D Thank you Ada and Patty for the compliments:wub: right back at you. I have just returned from Namibia. We had a a fantastic 10 day trip, and it is great to find this thread. I am also in the JHB area, and I spent a few days in West Virginia many years ago, how's that for coincidence.:D There are about three or four other S.A's on here and a fabulous lady, Lauren who now lives in California. She is Laurenr on here. Looking forward to getting to know you all better. I have met so many wonderful people on here ( check out my post count, and I havn't even been on here a year yet) It's just one big happy family. Sheilagh |
Sir Lee-Roy is very cute! Hugs Selina and Cassie:aimeeyork |
Hi there! I live in Cape Town, SA. I have two yorkies, Cash and June. I will add you to my friends list. I am always happy to learn of other South Africans on YT! Your baby is beautiful!:p |
Thanks! When we come down to Cape town for holidays or shows then we will try and meet up with you:) |
South African Hi There, I am from South Africa, and live in Kroonstad in the Northern Free State. I have two Yorkie girls. You are right, it is not easy to get nice stuff for our babies here. |
I am so happy to see more South Africans on YT! We should definitely meet up when you come to Cape Town. Let me know when you go to shows here, I would love to attend some shows! Maybe when we are enough South Africans on YT, we can do a local gift exchange:cool: |
Sounds great Marilize! Cassie was due to show in East London but I had to cut her coat due to these awful grass seed thingies knotting it up. She will most likely show again next year and I shall try and show her in Cape Town! :animal-pa |
