So proud of hubby. We have the habit of letting Gypsy have a nibble of what we eat. I told him last night to make sure she did not get any raisins that I was taking out of the trail mix I was eating (I do not like salty raisins) so he was eating them. He then asked me for a list of things she can not eat. He has never done that before. He was always the type of good enough for me good enough for the dog. He realizes that she is a more special furbaby! |
That's great. Shows he does care. My dh complains about the furbabies, but he is the first to get all concerned if there appears to be a problem.:D |

awww that is awesome! I made a little 'guide book' for our yorkies...has basic first aide, things on the no no list for eating, and general vet stuff, as well as all their records (all copies from the vet, their microchip #'s and the JKC papers). This is ALWAYS on my desk that way if he ever needs it while I am at work or deployed, he can find it and know what to do! |
I was concerned about my husband's feelings for Bailey when I got her. Why? 'cause he's a mailman and he hated dogs. All day on his route, dogs bark when he's coming and they bark when he's leaving - never a moment's peace on the route. He always told me no animals belong in the house. After 11 years of waiting and pleading - I finally got Bailey. And hubby just adores Bailey - I absolutely can't believe it!! Now he talks about the dogs on his route with kindness and compassion. He even takes Bailey along with him in the car to get his morning coffee - just the two of 'em. Of course, Bailey's pink jacket stays home - afterall, hubby is a man and has a reputation to protect. |
That is sooooo cooooool. I truly know how it warms your heart too. My hubby wasn't a "pet" person. He was fine with having them, but didn't bond with any of them........... until Coby. At first, he snuck kisses when I wasn't looking. Now, he just outwardly loves on him (when I have to remind him to not leave Reggie out too badly). And, like you, his attitude has changed towards all animals. Now, he'll call me at work if he sees a cute or sad animal story. |
awww this is a great story and as far as the poster says about making a book with all the significant information.. Im gonna start working on Bleus thank you for the awesome idea! Bleu already has 2 scrap books and a full box and his on section in the filing cabinet haha.. Oops and a Texas A&M journal and...... His own personal dvds of just him.. We need to brag on hubbies I do not know what I would do without mine.. He supports me in every decision when it comes to YORKIES.. Speaking of which we still can not wait to get our girl! |
That is awesome of your hubby. must have made you feel warm and fuzzy when he said that, shows how much he cares...:D |
