Poem about puppymills by me I was reading about puppymills and that inspired me to write a little poem about it. I find it so sad and heartbreaking. I hope you guys like it! Let me know what you think. I know that God is watching me, I know He hears my plea, I know He has something planned for me, besides this wire beneath my feet. I am feeling very exhausted, But I don't know what to do. My body is aching, my legs are numb and I do not have any food. This cage is kind of crowded, But I still feel so alone, I hope that He will guide me, And find me a loving home. I miss my children dearly, Their warmth is all I need. But they were stripped away at birth. Because of selfishness and greed. The wind is blowing harder, And the cage is getting cold. I can feel the winter coming again, I wish I had a cozy home. I am beginning to feel weaker, With every passing day. I hope He finds me someone to love Before I pass away. |
Thats such a great poem ...... gotta kleenex ? |

What a creative mind you have...that poem is awesome. It's so sad, but sadly the truth and you said it so well. That outta be published! |
natalie you are truly gifted! what a heart touching poem :( i so wish i could save them all. |
Very sad...but good poem! |
Natalie, you captured the desperation of a puppy mill dog perfectly! We've got to get this stopped!! For God's sake aren't there any legislators with a heart?? This should not be happening in our country! I think along with the mill busters shirts we also need bumper stickers. We could use the same design as that decided for the shirt. |
That was very touching. Actually got me crying. Please submit this to a no puppy mill website and make sure you get credit for it. Good job |
Great poem. It gave me the shivers. |
Natalie - that was BEAUTIFUL and made me cry - you can submit that around and it will be seen by people ....made me cry. OR you can put it on those awesome business cards you just made - as a bonus for people to read - you're multi talented girl :) |

That is very good! |
Thank you guys. Over the past few months, I've become so passionate about the subject. (Thanks to YT  ) I've gone from being upset over the situation to being very emotional about it. Now, I just have to get out there and do something!! |
Oh, Natalie. How poignant your poem is..so sad but unfortunately true. Those poor creatures of God are treated so badly..I so want St. Peter to be the biggest, meanest s.o.b junkyard dog you ever saw!!!!!!!!! |
Oh Natalie, that was wonderful and poignant. This must be my day for crying. Get published. |
