Any Ideas ?? Need help,please I need to find smething for Banjo to do while he has this splint on- he is bored- and I think depressed! I have done the kong w/peanut butter,chewies,squeakies, Kracker jax! He got wild tonight and was jumping with his splint on- and he can't be doing that!He is standing up on his back 2- and that's one w/the splint! Please give me some ideas-to keep him entertained with out rough play! I don't want him to hurt it again- or slow the healing Thank you! |

Mine love to 1.. play tug a war.. also when 2.. i place my hand under a cover (while in bed) they play with it 3..maybe some raw hide chews. hope this helps some Good luck..it is hard to keep an active furbabie not to play rough |
I'd suggest some mental games. They can tire out your pup without the exuberance. Try to teach things like speak, sit, down, maybe shake. I taught a cute one recently, "paw." Just get him to raise one paw. The joke is that you can say he hurt his paw. |
Thanks- he knows sit- and shake- but your right it is a good time to work on training- wear his mind out, before he wears mine out!LOL I did get 2 pig ears- I looked for something else- he loved them- but ate it all in 4 hours! I could not believe it! And I am not sure they are so great for them- Is that like rawhide??? Cow hoofs- I have not seen in town! I have used them, but not with Banjo! Thanks for the ideas!! |
Maybe I have slept I dont know but I did not know Banjo boy was in a splint it seems as if I have replied to one of his threads recently but there are so many you will have to forgive me... Banjo hunny you are working my brain this morning !:D I would just go along with the others in what they are saying but I also took Bleu to my moms she has 3 dogs and has always loved them and it seemed to brighten his spirits... The cow hooves keep mine busy for quite awhile and are safer than rawhide I think. I get mine at Petsmart. If you have trouble finding any I can send you some just pm me. |
