How many... Washable pee pads do you own? Im trying to decide on how many pee pads I need to have before my new pup gets here Tues:D Right now I have some disposables(which i bought thinking they were washable:rolleyes: ) but we want to go the washable route. So how many do you own? Or how many did you start off with? Thanks:) |
I'm not sure, as I have never used the washable ones, it sounds like on here though that they work great, I just wanted to bump this up for you! |
i just went ahead and ordered ten since i had to pay shipping anyway. Here's where I get mine. http://www.valethics.com/ I have six adults. |
I have 5 and ordered 3 more. I have 2 of my 4 using them. |
I have ten Pooch Pads. I'm a neat freak and so is Lady, though. I replace it every time she pees on it so now she refuses to use a soiled one. She will actually go over to it, sniff it and snort and jump backwards in horror if it's already been used. ;) |
We don't have any! With Slade I bought about a pk or two or the disposable ones before potty trained. There is no way I would train him to potty inside since we have such nice weather the majority the time. |
i have 4 but only use it when i have too...otherwise they do well outside...hehe |
I have dozens. I have found that washable potty pads come in very handy -- I have some new ones that have never ever been pottied on that I use for a multitude of things including waterproof barrier for large house plants, sopping spills, and in a pinch, bath mats :) |
I got mine from Little Bit here on YT. We have about 4 of them. That gives us enough to keep a sane laundry cycle going. :) |
Thanks all!! I plan to train on puppy pads and outside. Theres just too many animals around here for me to exclusively just train outside(im scared of most of the animals wild or not lol:( ) I have 2 cats so cleaning poop wont be that bad lol:D You think 3 or 4 will be enough for 1 puppy? |

It all depends on how often you want to do laundry. If you change the pad daily you would need about four to wash twice a week, etc. |
I think it depends on if you will be using part time or full time too. I only have one right now, but I really need another to lay down for when I'm washing. Tucker's pad stays in his xpen. I take him out every two hours, so he usually doesn't go on it. |

Have a dozen. Got mine from www.personallypaws.com |
i have 4 right now but really need to get about 10 more...we are washing pads every day with 3 furbabes :D |
I have 14 - 6 I bought from Little Bit (which I LOVE), and 8 Pooch Pads. I only have the one dog, I do a load of pee pads once a week and I always have two pads down. The pad I have in the bathroom is changed dailey (she uses that one more) and the pad in the living room is changed every other day. |
i got mine from the same place sugarsmom did. I used to use disposable and then maggie had her pups and I realized after having to buy a box of 30 every week that it was costing too much so I went to the website a friend had given me and ordered a dozen. I will be oredering more because I sent a few of those home with the pups when they went to their new homes. As far as the potty training. I would block off an area for the pup to be in and have a few pads down then after a week remove one. patience and persistance is the key. After he has the potty thing down give him a little more freedom and if he has an accident reduce his space again. This way he gets the idea that if he goes potty where he is supposed to. |
