The downside to all this great information on YT! I have learned so much in the very short time of coming here, I am grateful for all the great information... HOWEVER... Last night I had NIGHTMARES that my precious Zoe had roach back AND liver shunt!!! I hugged her extra tight this morning! |
I guess you gotta take the good with the bad:( Glad it was only a nightmare. |
LOL! Isn't that the truth! I love of the knowledge I get from coming here. But I think I've turned into an obsessive worry-wart. Oh well, better safe than sorry! |

wow I am glad i am not the only one- i have had some crazy dreams, too! And I worry about everything! |
LOL, welcome to the club of the worried-to-death yorkie parents!!! I am almost paranoid with my dogs now... ;) :D |
Kinda like being a nurse or doctor and having kids. The more you know, the more there is to be paranoid about ;) |
I have became a worry wart as well but like you said better to safe than sorry, I think it is great to be informed of possible issues. I know with my next dog things will be a lot different because of the knowledge you all have given me. :) Quote:

I know what you mean. I catch myself feeling pepper's kneecaps for a catch, listening for that noise that they make with collapsed trachea, watching for her to vomit bile, and counting her poos(afraid her food has to many fillers). On a good note I now know that pumpkin will help diarrhea and I'm eating healthier because pepper likes yogurt, cottage cheese, applesauce and carrots. And I'm baking again, forgot how much I liked to do that |

I know what you mean, it can be tad overwhelming and sometimes contradictory. Sometimes after being on here every time Alphy makes a noise or twitches or something I've decided he's dying or has some illness that he doesn't really have.  |
Ditto here also!! |
LOL.. I agree.. But I can't let it get to me... Its good to know the facts.. |
I know how you feel. Mine isn't exactly a fear of LP or CT, but of a freak accident. I bawl for hours after I read a story about another dog killing a pup, or getting hit after running out into the road, or even falling or jumping off something and getting killed. I am so paranoid anytime a family member picks Jamie up because he is a handful and I'm afraid they won't be able to hold on to him. And I keep all my doors locked so that everyone has to knock to get in so I can pick Jamie up so he won't bolt out the door. Being a puppy mommy is stressful... |
Yeah, my mom thinks I'm a freak because EVERY noise or action they make I come up with a sickness for, lol. |
Mascot Whenever my husband gets home, I always have a new question... yesterday's was" DO you think Mascot has Roach back?" his reply is always "are you on Yorkie Internet again"...... lol. I am happy to be educated though. Dot |
What a terrible thought to sleep with and wake up to. Don't you feel blessed that it was JUST a terrible nightmare! |

I totally understand how you all feel, Iam constantly on the look out for something with all my babies, Any little thing and boom, iam on here looking for it, All this great info stickes in our minds and then we dream about it;) |
I used to be like that that. But it does get better. If you worry to much I believe you end up Creating sicknesses that are not there. So try not to worry to much...... or you get worry warts ..:p |
