That's nasty, Mom Hi everyone I have been trying to feed raw and have tried beef, which my little furbaby likes, but I tried raw chicken today, as the beef was giving her the runs. I gave her a piece of a chicken carcass on an old towel. She looked at it, then quickly gathered up the ends of the towel and began to bury it! 'This is nasty, mom, it's dead! I better bury it before someone tries to eat it!' I laughed so much, there were tears running down my face. She was SO determined to make sure it was completely 'buried' in the towel that she spend ages making quite sure it was well and truly hidden. I thought she might at least try some as I had made sure she was really hungry before I gave it to her. Oh well, I am going to try rabbit next - wish me luck! Luv Franceen |
Well you definitely can tell that she is not into the raw chicken...lol. |
lol Too cute!! Good luck with the rabbit! |
I guess she told you! |
I don't think I could ever give mine(even the 2 big dogs), raw chicken, I just don't see how it could be good for them. .I buy the frozen chicken breasts and cook them up for the big dogs to put in with their food everynight.. |
I felt just as you do, hha. I took a lot of convincing and a lot of reading and chatting to people on the forum who feed raw. I finally felt convinced that it was safe. My friends were horrified and almost accused me of animal abuse! Anyway, it seems Tootsy has made her own mind up and agrees with you! Luv Franceen |
LOL...good luck ;) Keep it up...raw it the best thing for our babies |
I love to watch the babies dig and bury stuff.... I get so tickled thank you for the visual on this and sharing your story.. I hear raw is the best way to go! Hugs Vic |

I feed raw beef, venison, lamb, and rabbit - but not chicken. My girls both love raw. Good luck. :) |
Hang in there, you'll find what works for you and your fur kids. We do pre-made raw (not prey model) - raw is just so good for them. I applaud you for trying prey-model from the start - to be honest, I'm just too lazy. I find the pre-made so convenient and easy, so we went that route. Love it. Keep us posted on the progress! :D |
i guess they each have their own tastes!! lol. i bought a bag of chicken necks and was worried i would have to convince dexter to eat them, but he grabbed it right out of my hand and LOVED it! ive tried to feed him kibble after a few days of a raw diet and now he wont eat that! guess raw it is from now on for us ;) |
