poor sick ava I have been up since 3 am with Ava, her belly is upset she has been getting sick off and on. Poor girl, in between times she just walks around but she looks so pathetic when she gets sick, she is just layin here beside me. Any suggestions to help settle her tummy? We gave her a new type of treat and I'm thinking it was the cause.:sickie: She just has a sensitive tummy! |
Poor Ava!!! I would go to the vet. These little ones can dehydrate pretty fast. Poor thing. |
I finally got her to sleep again, and I think she drank a little water, I'm going wait another hour or two and see if she isn't feeling better. I live about 5 min from the vet office so if she isn't feeling better I'll just call or take her in. |
Poor Ava :( They're so delicate sometimes. Hope she feels better soon. |
aww i hope she feels better soon keep us up dated please;) |
Ugh I'm so tired ( didn't get to sleep untill about 1 because of DH) but I can't sleep knowing she isn't feeling well. She is cuddled up in my lap sleeping now, first time she has actually fallen asleep. Maybe some rest will help too... |
Awww, poor baby:( I hope she's better really soon:love: Make sure that she IS drinking water, if not you'll have to force it with a syringe. Dehydration is bad. You can tell if she's dehydrated by pinching the skin on the back of her neck up, tenting it. Not hard of course, just enough to get the skin standing up. If it snaps back immediately then she's NOT dehydrated, but if it stays like that for longer than a second or two, then she needs fluids immediately. If you can't get any into her, the vet should be called. I hope you can get some rest later on! |
she did drink more water and has kept it down. now she just wants to sleep and cuddle. She hasn't gotten sick for about an hour now. i feel so bad for her she is laying on my belly right now and the laptop is in my lap.... she keeps looking at my bedroom door waiting for daddy to get up lol I think the treats just REALLY upset her belly. I did the skin thing and it snapped right back, she is very alert and responsive. I called the vet and he said if she starts getting sick again or has any changes in behavior to just bring her in, but said to just avoid treats. He said it could also be partly due to her teething? |
