Can't you just hold it?! I started putting Lexie in her kennel now for bed time and it has worked great with the potty training...but she wakes me up 2-3 times a night to go poop AND pee!!! We go to bed around 11 pm and she goes potty right before we go to bed...then she cries to go outside at around 1 am and 3:30 am. Then we get up for good around 7. It is extremely tiring!!! I'm starting to fall asleep during classes and I find myself setting dates with myself to take naps...I'M 19!!! I SHOULDN'T BE THIS TIRED ALL THE TIME!!! It doesn't seem like she is crying just because she is in her kennel, because right when I put her in there at night she just curls up and goes to sleep... Any ideas? There isn't anything that wakes her up...no sounds or anything. My room is in the basement and I live in a VERY small quiet town. |
How old is she? |
She is 6 months old... but I forgot to mention that when she slept on my bed (the first month I had her) she NEVER got up to go potty until 7 |
yes how old is she? if she's only 12-14 months old she probably can't hold it all night long. I think mine stopped waking me up at 16 weeks and slept till 6-7am. if she's around this age or older i'd ignore either the first wake up call or the second. only take her out once in the middle of the night and then make her wait till morning. see what happens. edit: she's 6 months old then she can definitely hold it all night long. ignore her completely all night long. she needs to learn to hold it. if she did it while sleeping with you she can hold it in her crate. |
Maybe move her crate right next to your bed so she can see you. Hope this helps!:) |
this is weird... my 11 week old sleeps in my bed and she wakes up at 9:15 to go potty. at 9 weeks she got up at 7am. i make sure i feed her a little before bed, and that she goes pee and poop. her last big meal would be in the afternoon. maybe change her eating times?? Oh i forgot to add that I go to bed at 1am or 2am. maybe that is it.. lol. |
At 6 months she ought to be able to hold it 7 or 8 hours through the night. She may just be in a routine right now to wake up and go out. I'm not sure what else to tell you....I'm not the best trainer LOL Good Luck |
She eats last at around 7:30 or 8. Her bed is RIGHT next to my bed too... Hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...... |

No...would that work? Could I just put the kennel on my bed? Her kennel is real small and my bed is really big... |
Do you use a pee pad? Maybe put it somewhere in the basement? Maybe try that so that she can go whenever she wants at night when she needs to do it. I am living in the basement currently and I have pee pad in the basement and also on the main floor for my guy to pee/poo. I am not sure if she might/might not still wake you up with the pee pad but you may try. Mine will do some whiny sound each time he needs to go even when I am still sleeping but if I ignore him which I usually do because I am sleeping he will give up and go do it on his own. |
My Cooper is almost 5 months old. For the first month or so, he would wake up 1-2 times a night to go potty. That slowly became 1 time a night. Now he can make it from 10pm to about 6am. There are times where he yaps or whines a little during the night. I put my hand in the kennel and he settles down. So, I would try putting the crate near your bed. Good luck! |

Yep thats what I would do. Put her bed on your bed, then once she gets used to her new sleeping arrangements then you could move her next to your bed on the floor.:) |
Are you by chance free feeding? If you are, stop. Feed twice a day, in the morning and around 5 pm. Nothing but maybe a treat and a bit of water after 5 pm. This should stop so many BMs and get the BMs on a schedule. |
