I'm going to get Rambo neutered soon and was wondering if anyone has ever had these implanted in their neutered males. I just feel guilty that he won't have his golden marbles anymore and am scared of what it will do to his self esteem? Please help with any opinions or information that you may have on this product. I surely wouldn't risk putting something like that inside my babies. There is too much risk for problems.

I agree...Besides, my Max didn't seem bothered that he was 'missing something' after he was neutered. He did, however, stop hiking his leg on everything vertical in my living room :) .

LOL! I don't know about that! I'm looking forward to his neuturing so I don't have to look at some of his parts anymore. If it's all gonna be hanging out, they should have to wear little pants or something :p

I would never put something foreign like that in mine. I even debated over microchiping for that reason but did do it

When we had Mojo neutered last year, the vet mentioned these....they were expensive and I had never heard of such a thing before! Isn't that crazy! I say, don't even think about it...I couldn't imagine having something like this inside of poor little Mojo...or Rambo!!!:eek:

those won't help the dog. the dog doesn't know about his testicles and won't miss them when they are gone. That product is made for the human owners who think they're dog will have problems with missing them or who still want their dog to look 'manly'. dogs don't work that way. they will soon forget the testicles are missing.

I dont think that dogs think of their"golden marbles" the way humans do!! They wont miss a thing!!:)

Dogs, unlike their human counterparts, don't think too much about their "dangly parts". No "self esteem" issues in doggies ... they're much too smart for that ;) .

ew...I personally think being able to visibly see a dog's testicles is discusting...if I had a male, he'd be neutered ASAP. There is no way I'd put implants in...I'd be glad to get rid of those things in the first place.

I think Chewy and Mojo got neutered at the same time. ( Do you remember us talking about it?) It was nice to have a BUDDY to talk with during a scarey time. :rolleyes:

Yeh I think you guys are right. Even thought they insure your dog for 2 million dollars I don't think that I want to chance it. I'm just worried about the little monster. I went through so much when Sophie got spayed, I'm such a worry wart. I was like hysterical crying when I picked her up from the hospital and she was operated on in the best hospital in NYC. I guess I thought that neutering was just cutting some cords or something, I never imagined that they would get rid of the marbles completely :eek: and I figured it would be something that he would like miss ya know. He probably young enough for it not to matter to him, just hope he's not traumatized:( . Thanks for all of your responses. Hugs to everyone...Pris

Thats one of the MANY reasons i neutered ALL my boys its so gross soon as they pop out they come off !! my chi sleep upside down with his legs spread they would be one ugly site !

Dogs aren't like humans. They don't have a self-image or ego. They don't recognize themselves in the mirror or miss body parts. If you've ever seen a dog that has had a leg amputated, you'll see that they don't act like they miss the leg at all..and they get a long fine without it. Same thing with testicles..they don't even really realize they are gone and don't care.
