Correct Amoxil Dosage Ringo's vet says he has a staph infection on his skin. He was prescribed Amoxicillian Suspension Pediactric Drops. The box says for him to talk 1ml twice a day. He's 5 pounds. Does anyone know if this is correct? 1ml equals one dropper full. I don't want to call the vet because they think I'm over protective enough as it is! They actually make fun of me....not in a mean way, though. I'm sure this is right...but I always make sure before I give anything to my family. Thanks for any help! |
I just had my maltese on amoxicillin and his dosage is 1 ml , 2 x a day. He fought it when I tried squirting in his mouth, it was a real battle and he actually snapped at me. I tried giving it to him out of a big spoon and he lapped it up. Figured out it wasn't the med he objected to but having it forced down his throat. I still measure it with the dropper but then squirt it in the spoon for him to lick. |
Thanks for your reply! |
I would agree with the 1ml dose twice a day...we have had to give Magic it a couple of times for different infections!!! I hope your little on gets feeler better soon.... |
