he just CANNOT help it! LOL does anyone elses yorkies do this? :D we are trying to teach bentley to be less "yippy" and "barky"... he just gets so excited about everything and yip, yip, yip!! so we started with the soda can filled with pennies and it really does help! he is much less yippy but i swear sometimes he just cannot help it rofl!! for example, he will be yipping, and i will shake the can near him and say "QUIET!" and he will stop for a second, turn his back (almost like he is ashamed and knows he is not supposed to yip) and just do a few quiet yips...it is too funny! almost like he really canNOT help it :p it just comes out!! it is too cute! it can be annoying but it IS cute  |
Chachi has did that too and I agree its cute |
awwwww poor baby LMAO it does sound like he can't help it, or he's being like my skin son, Chase, he is just a stubborn toot and needs the last say LOL |
lol, i am glad chachi does it too - i will tell bentley he is not alone :p and dena, i think maybe that is his way of getting in the last word LOL .. kind of like, "i know i am not supposed to yip but TAKE THAT mom!!" :D little stinker :) |
Gracie does something similar. They are just too cute for their own good.:grin2: |
I tried the turn around and ignore thing, and it just turns into a spinning match, I'll turn away and he'll scurry infront of me and bark bark bark, I'll turn again and he'll scurry where I'm facing...and bark, over and over again. I tried the yelping in pain thing when he bites, he jumps back, stops biting me...and starts barking at me.. I have no idea lol |
That's cute!! I taught Cody James 'No Bark' and it works sometimes lol but he will be laying down on the couch he will let out a growl under his breath or a quiet yip and then turn and look at me with his eyes looking up at me. it's so cute. i can't help but laugh :D |
The only times G barks is when he hears us come down the stairs, when I open the back door to let Maggie out and when I go into the garage. LOL |
