My 2 little ones goin my fenced back yard. I have 6 acres in the country with 1 acre fenced. The woman across the road from me has a big, mixed breed who loves to poop in my driveway! I can't tell you how many times I've gone out to the car to leave for work and had to step over huge piles. I haven't said anything to her yet, because she's really nice, but her dog runs loose and I'm soooo tired of it pooping in the driveway and chasing me down the road. A few months ago, the dog disappeared and the woman was just distraught. My son helped her look for Pritsy every day for the longest time and one days she just reappeared. You'd think if she loves her that much, she'd take better care of her - or at least pen her up when she's gone during the day. |
I have the same problem too!!! I was mad when I saw poops that obviously not belong to Chloe's at my lawn!! and they never picked them up!!! The sign is good idea, but does it really work? It might make people want to poop on your lawn even more!! |
The other day I had someone let their dog poo on the sidewalk which is the front of my driveway. They just left it and I had to have hubby pick it up! EWW |
My mom has a huge problem with people walking their dogs in her yard, and she put a sign in her front yard saying "I have enough of my own dog poop, and don't need yours too!!!!". The HOA really did not like that all. I caught a one my neighbors letting their big dogs poop in my yard, and I just bagged up their poop and delivered it to them. |
My brother has had BIG TIME issues with people allowing their furkids to do this in his year. I told him your story and he turned around and told people the same thing who've allowed their furkids to go in his yard. Well let me tell ya, it works, they've now walked the other side of the street and don't allow their furkids in his yard anymore, lol. |
I always have dogs pooping on my lawn. A lot of people don't secure their dogs, and they get loose and poop and pee all over. I don't really mind picking it up, but I worry more that the poor babies are going to get hit by a car or something. We also have coyotes that poop everywhere. That does bother me a bit... |
I do have the same sort of problem. But mine is a bit different than all of yours. I have ELEPHANTS going in my yard. It MUST be ELEPHANTS. I can't let my Sassy out there because she would probably get lost on one of those piles. I think I need to get some ELEPHANT traps. I just don't know what to use as bait. |
This is an ongoing problem. My sister has the area of her home, especially near her mailbox littered at times, with dog fesces. She doesn't even have a dog! My neighbor has three dogs and occasionally lets them roam free. Of course, they come over to my lawn to relieve themselves, along with their cat who just loves our flowerbeds. I think, since you caught this boy redhanded, I would have asked him to pick up the poop, handing him a plastic bag. Next, I would ask his name and where he lived (intimidation factor). There is no easy answer to this problem. Mine is ongoing. My sister is constantly cleaning up too! |
Oh guys I dont know if signs help. I live in the community and there are lot of people who have dogs here. Everywhere there are signs saying please curb your dog or you will get a fine. Nothing helps thou. I walk my dog and constantly see big mines eww. Few times I stepped in it and I think the whole neighborhood heard me cursing lol Its like you walk your dog here too why not clean up after youself you will eventually step in it yourself gee. I have an open area near church that has lots of grass and I see a lot of children constanly play there. One time far away I saw this car pulling near that grass and all of the sudden I see a big black dog (I couldnt see what kind of breed it was) went out from that car and started doing business there he was without the leash! I started walking towards them of course having Maxi in my arms and suddenly the man called the dog in the car and left. This is absolutely disgusting! I wish I was able to take a photo of his license plates from my cell phone so I could report him but he took off. |

I think that people should let their dogs poop in their own grass ! |
Well... Since I have my front and backyard fenced in the neighbor's dog poop is not a problem to me... BUT on our beach house area there are cats at loose, and they seem to find really interesting to poo on our grass:mad: Since I don't know even if the cats have any owners, all I and hubby can do is shoo them off and clean the mess BEFORE the furgirls can find it... Grrrr.. PS: The beach house has about 1,600 square meters size, and the poos can be anywhere...   |
I'm very careful when i take ava for walks. if she poops I clean it up but I try to get her to go before we walk. However I live on a military base and there is a lot of pavment for us to walk on...we use it and there is less urge to potty I guess. |
