Wait till you see what my furkids daddy MADE them!!!! :D It's a ramp to get up and down from our bed!!!! I was going to buy the foam stairs for about $80.00 But I talked to him about what I wanted and he just knocked this ramp out in no time!!!! I loveit cause it doesn't take up as mich room as the stairs would have. I need to get carpet for it. Right now there's a blanket to keep them from slipping.:p |
oppps I forgot the pics!!! 4 Attachment(s) Heres the ramp. with my daughter showing them how to use it!!!:D |
Awww no one wants to look???? Where is every one? |
How cool is that. May I borrow your husband just long enough to make me one lol.. Kassie cant get up and down off our bed either and the stairs I have seen are still not high enough. |
What a great daddy! Looks like the little ones caught on very quickly. They always seem to know when something is for them. LOL (Isn't everything?) |
Wow....that looks awesome! Wish my dh was that creative!! |
Great job!!! Looks like your baby learns very quickly.  |
Your hubby did a great job on the ramp, and your babies seem to love it:D |
 What a great idea!!!! That would never work for me though..........I know in the middle of the night as I stumble in my sleep to the bathroom, I would stub my toe, and then I would probably pee my pants! But kudo's to hubby for thinking of something so neat!!!! |
Wow, great idea. |
Here's some high steps... Quote:

Thanks for the links , I will def check them out, duh me never thought to search online. Everytime I am across the border I look for them to be high enough with no luck. |
That's great! I love handy men :D |
You DH sounds like a great yorkie daddy. I hope that you give him a big kiss and let him know how wonderful he is for doing this. You never know what else he might be willing to make for you/your furbutts. It looks great. |
He did an awesome job!! What we do for our furbutts to make things easier for them. |
We have a really high bed and Jimmie made Gypsy a ramp. We used carpet remnants for the traction on top glued to it. That seems to help. Gypsy caught on real quick. |
what a great daddy! |
My hubby loves these babies... (he would never admit it to the outside world! ) I'm excited because we had a board sticking out of the bed for a long time and I would trip, stub my toe, and hit my shin on the dumb thing all the time.:( |
He did a good job! so nice to have a greathubby! |
  Awesome! So much better than the furbutts thinking they can jump off the bed and hurting themselves! |
Very nice! We have some that use stairs but the ramp is a good idea too! |
I bought a ramp but it doesn't have the nice side-rails yours has. Originally I was looking for something like what you have. Couldn't find it. Dh said he would make one for me but I knew that would most likely not happen since he is so busy. I trained my furbabies to use it by putting tiny treats on the ramp. Caught on fast!:D Your dh did a terrific job. Joanne :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :dog: |
That is awesome he did that for you. I just asked my husband last night about building something for Gracie and he told me because it was me it would be $100. |
What a good daddy!!! :D |
Nice! Very clever! I like how it takes up a lot less space. Sure beats spending the $$ for one from the store. Retail ones seem a bit steep in price. |
My husband made a beautiful ramp for Edie to get into our bed. It is carpeted, and very well made. It is attached to the bed so it can't tip over. Our neighbor came over while Gerry was making the ramp. Gerry was a little embarrassed about it. I overheard him tell his buddy, "I will pay you $1000 to keep your mouth shut about this project." Ha! :D |
What a great guy to take care of you and the furbutts so nicely! |
