Yes, it was. It gave you a panic feeling like you were going to explode if you couldn't get the dog or find someone who would. It started out as someone reading an ad in the paper for pups for sell....not real sure, but I think the woman was trying to sell this poor little dog's puppies at 6 weeks old. I will go see if I can find the thread. You can imganie how that thread went....I had to call the woman myself at that point in time because things were getting crazy. By the time I called, the owner was very upset saying someone got on the computer and was spreading terrible lies about her. I acted like I didn't know what she was talking about and she did tell me that the mother dog was just taken by a lady and that the dog's stomach was open. I'll go see if I can find the thread...... |

Thanks yall!! I'd love to see the original thread! Don't know how I missed that  |
I got it !! Get a cup of coffee - it was exciting that day and everyone did awesome ! I'm soooo glad that that poor baby got help http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11689 |
Thanks Villette, I couldn't seem to find it. Mr's Housh, I would love if that is how this little girl's story ended (and continues). However, a woman came and got this dog before a Rescue could take over. She told the owner she would bring the dog back if she couldn't get her to eat. No one knows who that woman was, only that she drove a long way to get the dog and that she did take her. |
I remember that thread SO well - that day at the beginning - there was a mix up about the names by someone but it got straightened out.... and everyone really jumped in to help - that was one of the best threads ever - everyone acted so fast.... Mrs. Houch I think we spoke on the phone that day. :) NICE to see you posting on this site !! |
Yorkie With Incision We did have a Yorkie who had an incision after just having had a litter. Her incsion repeatedly opened and we were able to finally get repaired. The little girl I was talking about is now fully recovered, and has a beautiful coat. She had lost her hair due to malnutrition and is now thriving. She currently is located in the midwest with one of our former members. She had a very difficult time of it but, is now doing fantastic. There may have been another Yorkie with similiar problems. This no doubt happens frequently with back yard breeders. Just last month we uncovered one more or less, right under our noses. The female lost her entire litter of 5 babies and almost died. Why these people continue to breed is beyond me. I can only imagine how many we do not hear about and those that do not receive any treatmen at all. Melinda |
That's so sad. I would have nightmares seeing that in person - thank you for all that you do... and thank you so much for the updates !!! |
