To clear up any questions - Melinda is a yorkie rescue - Brenda was the yorkie owner - the woman who took the yorkie is unnamed ......We can only hope she's at the vet right now.

It was confusing...and we were all so upset over this....

That's right and this morning it WAS a dash to help - so it did get a little confusing - but in all ..... it was pretty impressive - WAY to go people !

that poor baby i hope she finds a lovely mummy,if needed i can send money from here to help with the vet bills if you want some just email me and il pop it in the post.
im going to pray for the baby girl and hope her a speedy recovery.

my rosie has a bad skin infection and she has been to the vets every week for a month having injections antibiotics and a bath daily with a special wash im finally getting the better of the infection i couldnt leave her with skin like that .

OMG, I just read the post. How horrible is that (I cannot use the word I am thinking) thing who, I am sure, did the c-aection on that poor baby. I am sitting here in tears just thinking about that baby. That poor baby could be dying of pyometria!!! Those #$%^++ millers do their own c-sections on the table. OMG, can you imagine how that poor baby suffered?? A rescue that I support buys dogs all the time that have been operated on by the millers and then had their uterus sown to the bladder or stomach wall. Please send a message to me at Whispersmom2003@Yahoo.com when you find out if we need to send money to assure that poor baby gets the care she needs. AT LEAST, WE KNOW SHE WILL NOT BE USED FOR BREEDING ANYMORE!!! IF SHE LIVES, SHE WILL NOT HAVE TO GO THRU THAT AGAIN. I cannot even say a prayer to ask for forgiveness for what I am thinking..I just want to stay mad for a while. I will say prayers for that poor Yorkie..
I cannot tell if I made mistakes. I am crying too hard..There are angels among us on this forum..

That poor baby!
I just found out and I hope so much that she gets proper medical treatment followed by a long life in a happy home.
It's disgusting to do that to a helpless little animal.
As terrible as some people can be, there are always others who are willing to go out of their way to help.

I just read the whole thread and my heart goes out to this poor yorkie. I live in Sanford, but would be willing to help in any way. JUST PM me.

I also wanted to say that this is a great and CARING group of Yorkie Luvvers. And I am so glad I found you!

I hope she will be alright. Poor thing has been in pain for 5 weeks. How can anyone whether rich or poor let this happen. If you don't have money, people or even a GOOD vet would help for free! I am so upset to hear this has happened to a poor dog. You should not be a dog owner if you can't take the risks that come with it. I will pray for this poor dog and to the lady that took it.

Unfortunately, this person is not any different than the millers who breed and sell their pups wholesale. They will NOT pay for a c-section, they do them themselves. I am willing to bet that the woman that picked up (rescued) the dog is the one who made the call to the vet when she saw the condition the poor thing was in. The original owner who probably did the surgery just wanted to be rid of a dog that is costing her money for the vet and meds. She would not, not COULD not, have it treated or she would have to admit that she is the person who hacked that poor dog up. I am getting my hackles up again. If my language has offended anyone, I apologize for my choice of words BUT not the thoughts behind them..

The most appalling thing about this story is that it's unfortunately not an isolated situation. Many ignorant people breed for profit or on a whim without regard for the well being of the animals in their care and then dump or destroy them instead of incurring vet expenses. My prayers tonight go out to that poor wretched creature and all the others in the world that remain unknown to this heroic crew.
