I want the old Tilly.... Tilly has changed so much here lately. She has gotten really aggressive. :( She is starting to growl at people more often and this morning she bit the UPS man, or so he said. He seemed really ticked off. I can't handle her like this. Nothing has changed around here so I don't know what's up her butt. She is pouting on her bed because she knows mommy isn't happy with her. I also noticed her charging at our front window at passing animals, Tilly loves all animals. I don't understand. Any advice?? |
Could she have pent up energy? Do you watch Ceaser Millan? Just an idea... Good luck. |

How old is Tilly? Buddy changed when he hit 1yr. I thought I had a mad dog on my hands he started getting so aggressive. Did some reading on the subject and bought a couple DVD's and learned about being ALPHA. Changed his Yorkie Butt right back around:p This breed, some at least, are strong willed and want their own way at all times. Much like a spoiled skin baby. Patience, determination and knowledge will really get Tilly back on track. If I can help in any way with what I have read let me know. Be glad to help out. |

i wish you luck... i don't really have any advise for you as for Cesar Millan, he is the "dog whisperer" his show is on National Geographic channel or he has a website you can google Cesar Millan, Inc or something like that and it'll pop up... hope you find what you need |

Mika is having these barking fits in the back yard. She barks at the wind, whatever. It's hilarious...we just let her get it out of her system. |
I wonder if it is because she hasn't had her walks outside for awhile because it's been so cold. Could that cause her to act out like this? I'm trying to figure it out. LOL |
I've been bitten before, a strong smack on the nose with a good "NO!!!!" worked for me. Basically, they need to know who is boss and what the reprecussions are for such inappropriate behavior. Trust me, they didn't bite me again after that. |

I think part of the problem with Yorkies and their behavior is that some people coddle them too much. At the end of the day, they are still dogs and they still need tough love sometimes. So many owners are just afraid to hurt the dog's feelings and make him/her hate them forever that discipline doesn't happen. It's probably why so many children are terrors nowadays too. Everybody is too scared to discipline. |

Hi! I was just wondering if you had ever had Tilly spayed. If not, is she getting ready to come in heat? Just a thought! |
Chewy has started to get a little nippy too... he is a year and a half. he will decide every so oftn he doesn't like someone!  he is either home or in the car when he does this.... The book the loved dog says to give the person they dont like a treat to WIN THEM OVER... i thought it sounded crazy and it worked like a charm!!! Also Chewy has always tried to bully my son (Mike is 23 years old and was in college last year so chewy didn't see much of him) he was very nippy not long ago with Mike. So Mike stuck him in the bathroom for like 3 min...went to let him out in a sweet voice...bit again!!! Back to the bathroom... for about 4 tries. Finally when Mike opened the door...out came a very humbly loveable chewy!!! It took a few tries but he realized Mike was no push over and he gave kisses.;) |
Could she not be feeling good or hurting? I have seen ours get agressive when they are hurting. I have also seen some of this behavior with mine when they dont get enough exercise......like really cold or rainy weeks. Hope you find out what is bothering Tilly. |
