no flea meds working!!! I feel so bad...my dog is itching like CRAZY!!! No flea medicine seems to be working, definitally NOT frontline or advantage. I also tried an oral tablet, program, which seemed to work but i just don't know...it says it doesnt kill adult fleas but just doesn't allow the larva to hatch. I want something that does both and actually works! I would prefer oral but if it works, I'll take it. Has anyone tried Revolution? It seems to be for fleas and heartworms. Someone please tell me what they use, i cant take the scratching all night and i feel really bad! |
Just received this thru email..... Kills fleas instantly... Dawn Dishwashing Liquid does the trick. Add a few drops to your dog's bath and shampoo the animal thoroughly. Rinse well to avoid skin irritations:D |
have you tried a shampoo? |
Do you see fleas crawling or is it just a guess that your dog has them? I would use Program and Dawn Dishsoap. |
I saw fleas crawling so i gave her a bath and theyre gone now but shes still itching. there werent a TON of fleas even before the bath but she was still itching like crazy! Shampoos work but not for long. |

My vet recommended alternating the use of advantage and frontline every few months of use. It did the trick for us. Good luck! |
Dawn dishwashing liquid kills them instantly.....and then use Sunsilk shampoo in the lavender bottle called Straighten up and the same conditioner.....my Smokey had them something aweful.....and when we left him with my breeder for vacation that is what she did.....i have been using that shampoo and conditioner ever since....works great and his coat looks great......:animal36 :animal-pa _______________________________________________ www.dogster.com/683315 |

yeah, thats true...im pretty sure she does have allergies. i used to give her benedryll...she had these nasty scabs on the underside and still has a few. i guess that probably is it. i also do have oatmeal shampoo...i don't know if it does anything but i've got it. thanks. |
My maltese will get a skin infection from flea bites as she is highly allergic to them. So I would definately watch her skin. Red and scabbiness is a sign for my dog. |

Our Archie was a flea magnet until we started using Revolution....it really works. Sounds like you may need to treat your yard to break the cycle of fleas because if you have a real infestation, almost nothing will work. Also, if you have carpet, you will need to treat that too. Good Luck!! |
Dawn dishwashing detergent (Original) is the only thing that works for us. |
Take your pup for a dip in the ocean.. I know this sounds rash but my springer spaniel would get flea's sometimes and the best way i got rid of them while yard and house was being sprayed was a dip in the ocean. It worked for us.. not saying it would for you but....... |
