No your not crazy...if you are..then we all are! There are many of us here that throw parties for our furbabies! I threw my lil man a small birthday bash. He had cake and LOTS of presents. I bought him presents, my fiance bought him presents, and my parents even got him a lil present!! Lol. It was soo much fun! I just wish I could planned it a lil better and had some friends bring their dogs over so there would be other dogs and gifts cause it was just him and his sister Ginger (my jack russell)! :p |

doggie birthday parties! 2 Attachment(s) Birthday parties are always fun for the furbabies!! A customer of mine made a birthday cake for her yorkie's bd. Here is the recipe for a doggie cake if anyone wants to use it. She cut it into a bone shape before icing it and put the dog's name in kibble. :D Dog Cake REcipe: 3 cups flour 1 T. baking powder ˝ cup margarine, softened 6 eggs, beaten ˝ cup corn oil 2 jars strained chicken baby food 2 cups finely shredded carrots Plain or vanilla yogurt 2 or 3 strips of bacon, fried crisp, then crumbled, or use bacon flavor jerky strips, cut into bits. Preparation: Generously grease and flour two 8” round cake pans; set aside. Combine flour and baking powder; set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat softened margarine until smooth. Add eggs and corn oil; mix well. Add strained chicken and shredded carrots and mix until smooth. Add flour mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour batter into the 2 prepared 8” cake pans. Bake @ 325 degrees for 60 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes before removing form pans. Cool completely on wire racks. Place one layer on a serving plate and spread yogurt over top. Place second layer on top, then spread yogurt on top and sides of entire cake. Sprinkle crumbled bacon or bits of jerky strips over top. You can use “Pupperoni” sticks instead of candles.
