I received a strage email! -Yorkie related Hey guys! I'm bust with the new puppy and will post pictures tomorrow. Anyway, I just logged in to check my email for a second and I found a very strange email. The email was titled: ADORABLE YORKIE FOR ADOPTION It was from a person by the name of Dr. Johnston M. Wright The message: Hello, My name is Johnston ,I am a Consultant Gynecologist Surgeon and Oncologist Doctor i work for different prominent hospital and My late Grandma was a puppy breeder, She died about 4 months ago and she left 2 Female Yorkshire Terrier and Male behind one of which recently had a litter 3 Yorkie puppies,They are so adorable,Due to my job as a Oncologist Doctor do not allow me to take good care of these babies,I would have love to take care of them myself but due to the nature of my job i do hardly have time for my self,So i want to find them caring & loving parent willing to adopt, if you interested in having one of them, please contact me immediately, for more details and information. Thanks.Dr. Johnston M. Wright. Has anyone received any emails like this? Is it some kind of new scam? I don't know how this person could have gotten my email address, and the fact that they have "yorkies" and not some other breeds, I found very odd! I emailed him back and said that I was interested in more info and aslo asked how he got my information. I'll let you all know if I get a response. just wanted to give you all a heads up in case any of you have received something similar. -Christina |
Sure is written alot like the other puppy scams we have seen out there. I'm certain it is a scam, but I still want to hear the reply you get LOL Does an oncologist usually refer to themselves as an Oncologist Doctor? That sounds weird to me |
oh this is an OLD scam...;) I think I've gotten about a million of these during the last couple years! |
I figured as much. lol. If you actually read the email, you can tell the person who wrote it isn't even well educated by their use of grammatical errors. lol |
http://www.p45.net/boards/showthread.php?t=93766&page=2 Clearly a spam. Scroll down about half way down the page.. someone has already posted it on a scam site. |
I meant scam not spam. lol |
I think it's funny that he claims to be a doctor...yet there isn't a period in that entire email?? |
different different prom. hospital? different from what? and look how many times he says due to the nature of his job...lol. A real doctor writes a lot better than that! |
be cautious as I already know you are! |
Scam - what kind of Dr. would refer to themselves as an "oncologist doctor - and what dr would form this sentence - ,They are so adorable,Due to my job as a Oncologist Doctor do not allow me to take good care of these babies - do not allow me ?? A real Dr. would have a better grasp of language and sentence structure. |
and not to mention his command of the English language is horrible......I'm still twitching from reading that |
Mmmmmm. He went to medical school -- but somehow flunked out of English grammar class ... sounds like a scam to me: Be careful! |
Okay, I can pretty much guarantee that a doctor would not be writing like that. LOL :) Definitely a scam... |
I read like the first 3 sentences! All the others seemed to be repetitive, and YES, the grammar was horrible!!! |
i think its a scam also...i cant wait to see the reply im so curious |
