I was really concerned about getting Holly so close to Gracie's surgery. Knowing she would be in casts I did not want her to think that I got Holly because she was sick. I purposely postponed Gracie's surgery until after she and Holly had gotten acquainted and became buds. That took about 2-3 weeks. Now they are inseparable. Maybe you can try again with Heaven after Bleu is out of his cast and has recovered. He might feel threatened and vulnerable being in his cast. It is kind of like having two dogs visit each other, one on a leash and one that is not. The one on the leash feels threatened because there is no means of escape. Something similar might be going on with Bleu.

Vicki, please don't be too hard on yourself about this. You are doing what is best for Bleu at this time. I support your decision, you know in your heart what is best for you and Bleu. Heaven will always have a place in your heart.

I really am trying not to be hard on myself.. I thank you for your kindness its just Noone knows the void this little girl has filled in just less than 2 days.... I love all things girly and this was the closest I was getting to a girl... She was my Valentines she is my love and you are right when I love I love forever and she will always be "MY HEAVEN" yall wanna know whY I named her that well I will tell you ...


Bleu got his name from Bleu Boy ... If you type in Bleu Boy in your search engine and hit images a Abraham Lincoln guy will come up .. well this picture was behind our couch when I was a alittle girl my dad loved the art work.. My dad died in 1992 with cancer... I named Bleu after my dads favorite piece of art... then Heaven... Well where is my dad... These babies give me unconditional love just like my dad did and when I love on them it is a void that is filled because my dad is gone... That is where Bleu and Heaven came from

Juist wondering but is there no way that the breeder might just keep her for a while until blue gets better and then maybe you could try again but slowly like taking him to see her at the breeders and get him used to her that way>

lol...Vicki I am so sorry for you...But this quote brought back a beautiful memory for me and I wanted to share....

I take dog food to the local shelters for years....Every payday, I would buy a couple 40 lb bags and take them up there...

Here is the story...I had just gotten off work and stopped to pick up dog food and take it to the shelter...While I was at the shelter visiting with the volunteers...I hear this pathetic screaming...howling going on....And I could not understand why no one was checking on the pup making all the racket...So I head back there...I saw the dirtiest matted little poodle just going on and on....I had a silk suit on that day....So I could not pick it up.... But I stuck my hands inside and petted and loved on it...The shelter had given it a name of Sami....I went up front and told them to give me the paper work that I was adopting that poor thing....That she deserved better.....Filled out the paperwork...They told me that I would have to come back the next day to pick the dog up..Had to be fixed first...Said not a problem...Made arrangements for my daughter to go by and pick the dog up since I had meetings all day...They said fine...Daughter calls me from the shelter the next day and says that there is no girl poodle there...Only a boy...

I just knew it was a girl...Never looked underneath..lol

Who names a boy Sami...lol...Maybe Sammy...I renamed him Romeo...He was the best pet I ever had....

We actually discussed it ... but came to this resolution:( she did not recommend Bleu coming to her house because it is better if the dog comes to your house lee said because it is his territory his stomping grounds... I agreed with her i just never thought he would be so possessive

Yeah i guess she is right there jsut trying to figure out a way that you can keep your little girl :(

Is there a family member or girl friend close by that could keep Heaven for you til Bleu comes around so to speak? Maybe a Mom or sister or girlfriend? And then slowly reintroduce them...

These are just suggestions....No one but you can know what you need to do but I just thought maybe to toss some ideas out...

Oh Vicki, I am so sorry this has happened! I think everyone is right... Bleu is just feeling insecure in his cast. He as also been your be all and end all since he's been ill and now his little nose is put out. Just bad timing I guess, but how were you to know?

One good thing is your breeder is so understanding.. imagine if she was a B^%*. :thumbup: to breeder!
Don't feel bad about getting us all excited etc. , you follow your heart, although it is breaking.

Things will work out, it always does somehow, we will be here to see you through this and to welcome a sister for Bleu when the the time is right. Oh gosh I'm crying now.

I must just add, you make me smile when you forget the lower case or use capitals on purpose:)

Awww, I felt so happy for you, but now it is so sad to read you can't keep this adorable girl. I would love for you to have heaven, perhaps someone can keep your little heaven and you can go visit and eventually work her into your home. She is adorable, what a cute face. Lots of luck and prayers for God to give you peace as you choose or let go.
