Puppy essentials Hi all i'm new here!:) I will be putting down a deposit for my first yorkie today and wanted to know what should i have at home before he comes next month? I decided to get the biggest male out of the litter bc i have 2 14lb cats lol (not fat just huge bengals and active) so i dont want the cats thinking the new puppy is dinner:p Im so excited i cant wait, so what do i need to have on hand for lil man when he gets home? Thanks |
Congrats! Good things to have are: peepadds, food, food and water dishes, a bed, a crate or an xpen, a brush, shampoo and conditioner, a toothbrush and toothpaste, some toys and a baby blanket. |
Thank you! I tried doing a search but the function isnt working for me right now:confused: |
Hi new Yorkie mom Hi there, Firstly congratulations on getting your new yorkie. I recently had my Holly Boo off my Darling Husband for Christmas. We already have a 6 year old yorkie too. I found that i didnt want to let her go and wanted to cuddle her so much to make her feel so welcome (im always cuddling my gals);) we got a small soft bed and 2 stainless steel bowls for her food and water, we were given dried eukanuba for her to eat, but i must admit at 11 weeks old i changed her to wet puppy food. GET him insured asap!!! i put this on my "TO DO LIST" and thinking "well nothing will go wrong" it did!!!! She fractured her paw at 12 weeks old and we had a vets bill of £800 pounds ($1600) some soft play toys as it gives them something to chew!!! (saves your toes!!):p And just your time really, they are so lovable and love being cuddled. If i think of anything else i will add. I know the people on here will reply too as they are excellent with their advise, but just wanted to share mine. Oh p.s Puppy Pee Pads too. :) |
