First Top Knot So Bailey's hair on the top of his head is finally getting to a length where his visor needs to be pulled up (it totally wrecks his peripherals when looking for his toys when we play go get it). He has the cottony hair, which i love to cuddle with. Any suggestions on who to purchase clips for his hair? I am ready to venture into the world of the cutest top knots... |
These will be my first time trying top knots, bailey doesnt sit too still when i play in his hair, he has to see what's going on. I am looking for something I can clip and go and get him used to something in his head. TIA! |
I know Des, from YT (GoFetch) sells the claw type clips that might be just what you're looking for. Be persistant with working with his hair, it takes time for them to get use to the idea that it has to be done. Now when Ruby sees me get my basket of grooming things out, she comes and sits between my legs without even being asked or called. LOL.....Reno, being a puppy, is a work in progress! |
It'll take some time. My girls, while they don't exactly come running, will lie down and allow me to fix their hair. I think they realize that it helps but would still rather me not mess with them. :p I love the little grooming bands that Des @ GoFetch sells. They are cute in case you don't put in a bow or clip with them, and they hold hair very well. Penny has very fine, silky hair while Riley's is thicker and the bands work great for both. I have a few of the clasps that Des sells (mentioned above) as well. They are super cute but might be a bit girly for your little guy. I picked up a package of little clips at Walmart to get the girls used to having something up there first. They stay in well so that the furkids can paw at them and rub their heads without knocking out a hair clip... and eating it! |
how do I find Des at gofetch? Also do you have a brand that i can look for for tiny hair clips at wally world? That would help a lot!! Thanks! |
You can find a thread in the "Featured Sellers" section here for GoFetch. She is also Tiger's Mom |
forgive me but what is go fetch? |
Here is a recent link to one of her posts. You'll find the link for GoFetch (her online store) on Tiger's Mom's posts. Sorry, I wasn't thinking! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=114616 |
1 Attachment(s) If you go to the baby section at any store they usually have these little plastic bands for fine baby hair. They come in tons of colors in the same package. I used those on my puppies and it works great. You get like a thousand of them so you can just cut them out really fast and don't have to do any tugging to upset your baby. Then you can put whatever little cute hair clip in there you like. You have unlimited options. Good luck. This is Delilah with hers in. She is 4 months old in this picture. Attachment 191783 |
What. A. Cutie! Oh my gosh. how hard was it to get them to sit still? |
