Checking in on Kassie....I know what you mean about the house being so quiet...I felt a kind of a gloominess in the air when mine where gone, it just wasn't the same til he got home......Kassie will be in my thoughts today.... |
I was told not to call until 2 but couldnt hold out any longer and just got off the phone. They had an emergency at the vets office and Kass hasnt been done yet. I wont be able to pick her up until at least 7pm this evening ,maybe later. The vets office is about an hour and 15 mins from here which puts Kass and I on the roads after dark and hubby is working. Kassie and I are both nervous at night after we hit the moose last thanksgiving. I will post later this evening to let everyone know how she is. Thanks again for the prayers and well wishes. |

Update. Kassie got out of surgery around 5 and is on her way home. My husband took the rest of the night off to pick her up so I didnt have to drive after dark. I just got off the phone with him and he said she is really out of it still. He said I will probably freak out but the vet assured him she will be fine. They would have liked to kept her a bit longer but close at 7 and we didnt want to leave her there all night. She has a bald spot on top of her head and stitches from the lump removal. Thank you again for all your prayers , I cant wait to get my baby girl back home this place feels so empty without her. Hugs |
Awwwww I'm so glad she is on her way home. Yes, the stitches will kind of take you by surprise. They did with me yesterday. Kiss Kassie from us :) I hope she recovers as well as Hallie~ |
I am so happy that your baby is doing okay. I know when Tinkerbell had her teeth cleaned the last time she was really groggy and very uncoordinated. It was kind of funny. I will pray that your little one has a safe and fast recovery. Soon enough she will be digging out all those toys you just put away. LOL. |

She made it home and has at least six stitches where they removed the lump.:eek: When my husband came home and set her on the floor watching her was enough to do me in. She staggered all through the house in and out of rooms and going round in circles crying for the first 20 mins or so . We tried to pick her up and get her settled and she just got more anxious. Thankfully my husband finally got her settled on his lap and she is sleeping peacefully. She has had dentals done twice before and I wasnt prepared for her reaction this time. It must have to do more with the lump removal. Thanks again. |

Kassie is back to herself as of today. Yesterday she was still crying off and on which we figured must have been from the lump removal? She is one pathethic looking little muffin though. They pretty much shaved the whole top of her head, other than to leave enough of her topknot that it rolls forward from lack of nothing to hold it back in place. Thanks for thinking of us and I have seen where your little Miss Hallie recovered nicely too. Hugs |
