Murfee likes to play this little game with his squirrel. He jumps up on the back of the couch and drops the squirrel down behind the couch. Then he looks at me a cries until I get up and get the d##n squirrel. So we put a body pillow behind the couch on the window sill so if he drops the squirrel, he can get it himself. Now his new trick is to drop it just out of reach at the ends of the pillow, or the one he just pulled on me. He dropped it and then looked at me and cried so I got up and went over there and it was right on top of the pillow...within his reach!!!! I just told him he could get it himself and he did. The little booger just wanted me to get up and pay attention to him and not the computer. | My female Bichon, Lacy, loves to play "I put it where I can't get it and bark until mom gets it for me." She will push a ball under things with her nose and then look at me and bark for me to come and get it out for her. She will push a ball under the coffee table, end tables, the desk, anything in the house. It's her favorite game and I have put the balls up for a while so I could get some rest! She used to drop a ball into the water dish and bark for me to get it out. She hasn't done that lately. It's all about getting attention, of course. She will bring me a ball or stuffed toy to throw for her and if there's someone else around, she will pick out who she wants to play with and take the toy to that person. She's a hoot! |
