Hi there - newbie introduction
 
I just wanted to officially introduce myself. I've posted a few times, but never introduced myself cuz I wanted an avatar and my husband did one for me :) My name is Shelley, I'm married to a wonderful man named Chris and we have one girl...our Yorkie named Mia. She turned 3 in April and we love her to death. We live in the province of New Brunswick (Canada). I'm a lawyer (unionized labour law) and my husband is an engineer (civil). We love to travel....can't wait for my vacation.

When I figure out how to shrink pictures, I'll post some of Mia. What can I say about Mia. She's spoiled rotten ; she loves to play (full of energy) ; her favourite toys are rocks at the moment (don't ask) ; eats cereal with me every morning (that's her treat after I clean her eyes and brush her face) ; loves people ; loves to go outside ; sleeps with us ; has like a gazillion toys...and I could go on an on.

I love this site, very informative! I especially love to see the video clips. If I can figure that one out, I'll post some as well.

Thanks, we thinks she's adorable too :) We're thinking of getting another Yorkie next spring. I want to wait until we have some lawn, it's just starting to grow now.

Hi Jeni!

I don't know why Mia LOVES rocks! She has sooooo many toys, but she'd rather go outside and play with rocks. Of course our driveway is crushed stone, so she has LOTS of rocks to play with. She'll dig up a rock, bring it to me and she waits there till I throw it. If I ignore her, she'll either bark at the rock or she'll look at the rock, then look at me, look at the rock, look at me, etc. She's so funny. Sometimes she comes to me with huge rocks. But she does not chew on them (I made sure of that), she just likes to find them and bring them to me. I never let her bring the rocks inside the house, so you should see all the rocks in the garage right in front of the door going in the house. It's like a collection. :)

Welcome to yorkietalk. Always nice to have another "northerner." I'll be real interested to hear from you when you get your second yorkie. We want another one real bad but are taking it kinda slow to make sure we get a good pal for eddie and to make sure we can care for two.

Welcome to YT Shelley! Mia is quite the beauty queen! Obviously you don't need advice on good products! I didn't read all of the posts, but a wonderful, easy and fast resizer for posting pictures is "PIXresizer". Not sure of the actual address for it, but you'll find it if you type that in once you go to Google. Hope you have some time to spare because YT will suck up a lot of it LOL!
