Went to Dog Show today
 
I went to my first dog show today in Atlanta. The yorkies being shown were just absolutely beautiful! I didn't get to speak to any breeders, which was the main reason for going. It's a mad house there! I couldn't tell when they were through showing their dog, so I didn't want to intrude. But what an experience!

I will be sooooo mad if this was held on jonesboro road in conley right off 285!!! I want to go to a show soooo bad!! How do you find out ahead atime about them!!!!?????:(

It was held at the Atlanta Exposition Center, right off 285. One of the YT members told me about it. The three dog clubs represented were: Sawnee Mountain Kennel Club of Georgia, Conyers Kennel Club of Georgia, and Lawrenceville Kennel Club. I would think that you could check out their web pages and learn of future dog shows. :) Also, I did not take pics, have new camera and not sure how to turn off the flash and sure didn't want to upset the dogs being shown with a flash in their eyes. :animal36

Hope you had lots of fun!!!!!!!!!!!:) :) Its nice to see more and more Yorkie fans going to dog shows!! Go to infodog to get more info (lol)on when and where more shows are in your area.

I knew it!!!! right around the corner from my church!! Was on the way to church this morning and saw people walking dogs on the side where all the rv's were!! Wow so close!!! do they charge a lot to get in??? :)

I love dog shows! I went to the big one in Houston last summer and hope to go again this year!!

It only cost $5 to park. If you want to have a catalog, then it's $10. That's all. :animal36

Glad you enjoyed your first dog show experience! I started by going and watching.....and now I am showing and love it - I would love to be able to be out showing every weekend!!

You were so very thoutful!:p I am glad you had a good time. They used to have a huge dog show in Boston every december, but not anymore. I used to love them.
