Although the Toy Poodle placed first, I can't get over how downright uglyI think those "poodle-cuts" are. The Yorkie, Maltese, and short-haired Chihuahua were my definite favorites, but I also favor the looks of those breeds in general.

I like the show cut on the poodle...I hate when people just have them all one length

People either seem to love the look or hate it. I think people who are really into the breed prefer it, while the general public seems to think it's atrocious. Although I realize there is a non-aesthetic reason for why they were initially cut this way.

My parents had an Apricot toy poodle when I was a kid and I remember them having to always specify that they wanted him to have a "puppy cut" to the groomers or else they give him a poodle-cut and put bows on both ears. Everyone would joke about how pretty "she" looked.

Most people couldn't even tell he was a poodle with the puppy cut (they thought he was a mix) because they naturally associate all poodles with having the show cut. Strangers used to constantly say "He's really cute ... especially for a poodle!"

I still think Yorkies are cuter though ;) ... no matter the hair-cut (I also prefer their temperament.)

The only thing I don't like about the show cut is the huge topknot. I prefer the shorter topknot so you can put bows on each ear (can't think of the name for the cut on the head)....I've only seen one pet poodle that had one really long topknot...her hair was crazy! But the rest of her body was shaved...looked strange.

If I had a poodle, I would do the show cut, but no poms on the hips. I'd also probably use a #10 or #15 blade on the skin instead of a #40 blade. And then I would cut the topknot

Lol...yea it came on at 7pm central time and then it ended...and then came on again!!! Lol...so needless to say...Im watching again!! Lol. However, Im fixin to crash and go to bed. Lol.

I saw the show and that Yorkie is gorgeous. I just fell in love with him when he walked out!!

I caught the toy breeds the second time the show ran... I always seem to miss the category. Is it a general rule that the toy breed shows first?
