Does anyone know how I can do this without using mypetcam.com? Are there other websites that offer this?

The web cam we purchased came with software to set this up. We don't use a website -- just the included software. We have a cable modem & a router (so both my husband's & my PC can both use the cable modem). You can set up multiple computers with the cable modem. Each has an IP Address. The web cam is just like another computer on our network. We don't have a nice web address like mypetcams.com to go to though. We have to use the IP Address, so when I view our web cam I go to something like http://10.99.101.100/

My husband set everything up, and it was pretty straight forward with the software -- I probably just make it sound really confusing :p

Oh yeah, you set the address to allow internet access -- so you can see it from anywhere. You just have to remember all those numbers or bookmark them (the IP Address). We also have it password protected (so the world can't see my mess house :D

That's a great thing to have when you have a baby sitter.

I love mine and the web page used to watch your dog is free. Just pay for the camera and that's it. Watch you dog from any internet browser or even your cell phone.

Which do you use? Do you have a certain company website?

I have this web cam. It is great. I found it at a great price on ebay at the end of the summer. The good thing about this web cam is it does not have to be connected to a computer. It works on a router.

I think setting up the router was the hardest part. My husband set this all up. It didn't take him long at all to get the camera up and running.

I set up my camera, all is ready to check on my baby tomorrow from work :) can't wait!!!! :D
