Slipping I have a problem, in my home and the home I work in there are wood floors and lily slips on them, it has gotten to the point that she does not like to even walk on them.:( With her lp it is bad for her to slip so I was wondering if anyone knows of a product that can help, like no skid socks for dogs:confused: , I am will to try anything I just want her to be comfortable and not get hurt. My only other option is buying lots of area rugs this is very expensive, but I will do what i have to do so any opinions would help. |
I suggest checking her paws and seeing if the hair has grown over her pads. That might be why she is slipping. I have hardwood all over the house and tiles in the kitchen. Once I keep Zoeys' hair trimmed and be sure none is covering her pads then she is good to go. |
I do know there is a product they sell at dog shows that you put on the bottoms of the dogs pads to keep them from slipping. I do not know the name of it be maybe you can find it on the internet. We had wood floors until recently and we just put down new thick vinyl flooring and I feel it is much safer. |

Wow suprising. I know once I keep her feet cleared she is good to go and she zooms all over the place. Maybe train her to keep on some of those baby socks that have the little grippies under them. |
Just get the long hallway rugs. That will give her something to walk on and at least it safer. You can also get those larger area rugs for like a kitchen or living room. And if you think that is too high maybe pick up a remenant at a carpet store for cheaper price. |
