is it normal for a female puppy to have a huge tummy after eating? My puppy SAdie has this huge tummy after she eats. I know I am not over feeding her because she gets maybe two and a half teaspoons or so. She is 15 weeks and 2.6 pounds. She will eat as much as you give her so the vet helped me figure out what she should get. She is feed 4 times a day. But after a feeding I swear she feels like she will pop! Is this a normal puppy tummy???:eyebrow2: :eyebrow2: PLEASE GIVE INPUT ON THIS!!!! |

Have you had her checked for worms? Otherwise, yes, puppy tummies are big after they eat. |

yes she doesn't have worms... we did a stool sample. But thanks for the input... Maybe I'm just too wrried about this. |

My little girl is the same way! She has a healthy appetite (much more so than my little boy) She loooooves to eat. She is 16 weeks old now and I know exactly what you mean about the "about to pop" feeling. I have asked the vet twice about it and they don't seem concerned. They said it could just be gas. |

Our first Yorkie Pearl was like that as a puppy and Ava is to, but I notice the older they get the less it is noticable! At least in my babies! Pearl is older now though..and Ava is 4.5 months |

I happen to notice that Gracie got like that more after she had wheat. Do not know if this helps. I have a lot of food allergies and so do my skingirls, so I am so use to looking for signs of food intolerances and figuring out the culprit. |
