Jumpin' Jelly Bean :jump28ib: Anyone elses yorkie sometimes, jump up and dart away when you come close to pick them up or pet them? Coco loves it when I hold her or pet her but when she's in her playful mode, I sometimes have to chase her. So for example when I'm teaching her a trick, I will say "Coco Down" and she does, then when I want to reach over and show her how to roll over (or whatever the trick), she jumps up and darts away and then runs back and forth as if to tease me. She doesn't do it all the time but sometimes. What does that mean? Is she just being playful and wanting to play, "I want my tired mommy to chase me around"? Or is she afraid of something? :jump28ib: |
Oh I like to call it "keep away game" :D |
Yeah that's something I dont quite get my self, sometimes with Tiny Baci I say come here boy and he does right away and other times he comes close then darts away lightning fast... |
Katie and Codie do the exact same thing ... and it's usually when I come home from work and am exhausted!! |
Wookie does this religiously! its his new thing.. he figured out that hes faster than me, so when hes really excited, hes darts back and forth like lightening, hes so cute! :p :p |
Sometimes I go to pet Maximus and he thinks it's a game and darts away..but I feel like when people see that they think I hit him or something..and I have never ever done that..I don't even yell at him!! But yeah Maximus does this and the minute I turn around to go back to what I was doing he's jumping at my leg..lol |
Lexi & Max will jump at my legs over & over and the second I bend down to pick them up they take off like bandits! I don't get it! |
I think she is just playing with you. Chachi does the same thing to me. |

Ok good to know they are all weird in the same ways. It makes teaching them tricks twice as hard because you gotta get them to focus long enough to learn what I'm saying..haha. It took us "bow" like 2-3 days because she would dart everytime I would reach over to show her to keep her rear up.. |
