CRAZY QUESTION - How big are your puppy's teeth? 1 Attachment(s) My Matilda is now 17 weeks old and I have noticed that her top and bottom FRONT teeth are so small, they are almost non-existent. I've had lots of dogs in my life and Kalina is only 9 months old herself. Her teeth were always normal sized, though small. Why would Matilda have such unusually small teeth? Every time I show them to someone they say "Where are they?" She sure can bite though. She has bitten through both the phone cord and my mouse cord in mere seconds - severing them entirely. Would some of you puppy owners look in your puppy's mouth and let me know if they are so tiny that you can barely see them without a magnifying glass. She isn't unusually small - 2 1/2 pounds - right on target for 4 to 4 1/2 pounds full grown. |
Mine both have tiny tiny teeth. I love to look at them. I always try to show my husband...He is like..."yes... I know...she has tiny teeth...you showed me twice yesterday" I think they are just sooooo cute. Your Matilda is adorable.:) |

Izzy was the same way...we got her at 20 weeks and she had tiny teeth and my husband would laugh and ask me where her teeth are. She just turned 1 on 12/29 and I can tell that her teeth (especially her caninnes) have grown to adult. At first when she would bark you couldn't even see that she had teeth..lol. Now when she barks or takes a treat from you you can at least see her pearly whites.:D I wouldn't worry she is still young. Oh and Izzy is only 2.8 so I wonder if it's because they are so tiny to begin with. |
Jeter is 16 weeks old and he has tiny teeth too and boy are they sharp little suckers! he is also only 1 pound and 10 ounces. His teeth are like a tip of a toothpick too. This photo of him shows a bit of his bottom teeth and how small they are. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...ry32008142.jpg |
