WOW! Sounds like a good idea to take a witness along and send a Fed ex so you have paper proof and a witness! The witness can also attest to the fact that the owner was dismissive and rude as I'm sure he probably will be---he maybe realizes that this time he messed with the wrong person this time!!!!:D I am so happy you are going to go all the way with this, Good luck and keep us posted.

It's great to hear Bell is doing better! Your a great mom!!

Wow, what a predicament you are in! I've just read the whole thread and am so pleased that most people were compassionate and helpful. I do so hate it when some condemn and are rude when a poster is hurting and worried.

I hope things work out for you and admire you for standing by your baby and taking the pet store owner down. Good for you.

I will be praying for you and Bell. Good luck.

thanks for the advice of the faxing... ill have it faxed to him too... cuz i do think he'll take one look at me and say get out!... geez guys, thanks again! i love all of you! ALMOST everyone has been so helpful and supportive... without you guys i would still be dumbfounded... oh, i have not made the appointment for the surgery yet.. i still have to work out the payments.. but i did get courage to ask my dad to loan me 1/2 the bill.. i am waiting for a response.. i cowardly e-mailed him this morning... i just don't feel right asking him... he ALWAYS helps me out of holes, but i reasoned that it was worth a try... i only asked for 1/2 because i should have the other 1/2 in about a month, when i get my taxes back:) .. i would ask the surgeon for a payment plan, but im gonna wait and see what my dad says. im keeping my fingers crossed! thanks for all the prayers guys.. i believe the Lord is listening.. :D

Now, you have to add your name to the list of NEVER BUY FROM PET STORES..I don't even buy any of my supplies from petstores where they sell cats or dogs..

I don't either. They have some awfully cute boutiques around my area but if they sell pets (except fish, birds, etc) I just keep moving.

:teeth: i don't buy anything either... i don't ever since i found out about her problem... we buy my big dogs canidae dog food and we can only gat it at pet stores... i called every pet store in our area to find one who doesn't sell dogs/cats... it's really sad how many do sell dogs... i live in La Mirada, Ca i just moved there about 5 months ago, and i have to say there is almost a pet store selling puppies on every corner..

I just read this entire thread and wanted to tell you that I will be praying for your baby. I would like to commend you also on your determination and for not giving up or taking the "easy" way out like so many would have done. I hope you will find a "home" here at YT ... we're pretty good folks for the most part. ;) God bless you and please keep us updated on little Bell.

If i had the money i would give it to you in a heart beat and im so glad every one is coming together to give her support and advise,is that not why this forum was started to laugh with each other about our babies cry when we are worried about our babies and be there for each other.

You could try a Yorkie Rescue or Dog Rescue Service in your area, then ask what VET they use and these vets donate time and services. You might get a discount. I was a foster mom to dogs and have used the same vet for 15 years, he still gives me discounts even though I am not fostering anymore.

What a terrible sinking feeling it must be to have a sick little puppy, and no funds to get it better.
You are trying your very best, and didn't ask for this to happen.My heart goes out to you, and I sure hope that the pet shop owner will do what is right and come up with at least half.
I'm pulling for you, and I pray that you will be able to get the operation for your little puppy.

You an I have a lot in common. I'm also a 22 yr old Full-time student and got Sarge with my boyfriend. We got him from a breeder tho. It really hits home that such awful things can happen to our babies. I commend you for taking this as far as you are able. Everything will fall into place, just you wait.
