Found a Broker,dealer book!
 

I am so disgusted!! My husband does auto body repair. He came home from work today telling me about a box type van he's working on. In it he found a book titled.....Missouri Pet Breeders Assn. Southeast Chapter 2007/2008 Directory. This book is a listing of all different breeds including Yorkies and the brokers/dealers/breeders...etc. names, addresses and phone numbers.

On the inside of the book one ad says....HAPPY HOLLOW PETS NEEDS YOUR PUPPIES!!!! PAYING COMPETITIVE PRICES FOR QUALITY PUPPIES and then the names and phone numbers.

It also has a whelping table/chart and another chart titled Kitten & Puppy Market Chart. I am just sick!!

It has some web pages listed, but I haven't checked them out yet. Too afraid of what I'll find I think. I know on the copies of the business cards that are on the pages some of them call their kennels...'farms.'

I guess I'm just totally naive when it comes to this stuff. I never knew they actually put out books, with their names and phone numbers in it. Why would anyone openly admit to selling to stores, etc.. calling them Wholesale Companion Puppies? I'm just sick over this...I wish my husband hadn't brought this horrible book home. I wish I hadn't looked at it.

The pet industry is a 94 Billion Dollar business...you would actually throw up if you ever went to an auction.

I don't think they're supposed to be taking anything out of cars they're working on..?? I have to agree it's disgusting though..

Well, I said that, because a friend of my hubbys took his car in just for an oil change, those guys stole my hubbys friends gps out of his car, so they had to buy a new gps for the guy...I know I've been told when working places(do not touch anything if it doesn't belong to you)..that's why I asked..

I saw one of the auctions on a cable channel one time. It was freaking horriffic. It utterly amazed me how the people were there wondering how good of a breeding bitch a female would be and if it were worth the $ they were asking. Disgusting> They had them all crated up in rows and rows and didn't feed them the whole time etc...oh man can't think about this mess right now...raising my blood pressure. Dispicable how people can do this crap.

The dog industry is a big one....they make so much money off of one litter. Poor doggies.

No, they are not really suppose to take anything, but it was in their trash box they had in the back so he thought it might be something I'd want to see. He's taking it back, so I didn't jump him about it. I just didn't think such crap existed.

Sound's pretty disgusting to me. I can't imagine someone publishing any kind of book or information about such stuff.

People that use dogs and cats as a business discust me :mad:

Maybe print out some brochures from the internet on how sick this business is, then leave them in the glove compartment, or that's kinda obvious your hubby went through his trash, so just have them at the front desk like their for "everyone' when he goes to pick up his car.

I say leave it alone...this guy knows exactly what he is doing and doesn't care that the animals suffer. It is just a money making thing to him.

If I am reading your post correctly, your Husband removed the item from his Customer's vehicle. Although the contents of the book that you describe is quite disturbing, two wrongs do not make the situation right. Again, as disturbing as it is, the book being found in the trash of the vehicle does not change the fact that if the Customer where to find out that his personal belongings were removed without his/her consent or knowledge, your husband could be found legally liable.
