Using belly bands...do you wipe? Do you wipe your baby when changing thier belly band? I just got Jackson his and he's wearing it fine. I'm just worried that he'll get a little pee pee belly cause it will all stick on his stomach and stay there and dry up. What do you do to prevent this? |
Yes, I am a wiper - am a wiper. |
maxi pads work great, they wick away the moisture and keep the skin dry. |
really?? maxi pads? do you find the pee stays away from teh fur that way? the ones they sell at petsmart are pretty thin. |
oh definitely . . . . |

are they more expensive than the pad the pets stores sell? how many do you use a day? |
I use the StayFree Maxi Deodorant pads for their belly bands. The pads are super absorbency and since they are scented they keep them smelling clean longer. I also use Baby wipes, the scented and wipe them everytime I change their pad. On top of that I have a feminine spray that I spray them as well. Between everything it keeps them smelling fresh and clean rather than that pee smell. Oh and the pads I get are $3 for 24 pads. I change them about 3 times a day. |
are they the super thick kind? I don't want him walking around with a huge pad weighing him down!! haha! |
I use allways, the ones with wings are even better. |
Maxipads:thumbup: plus Baby wetwipes for easy clean up that makes the little guy's smell better |
I buy the equate brand of maxi pads 48 for 2.99 at wallmart and use baby powder in them and wipes when I change him.Or you may use poise pads those work really well from keeping the smell of urine on them but are more costly. |
I use the Kotex regular pads and they work great...they are not to big and fit in their belly bands great. Anytime I take off their belly bands I wipe them down with some baby wipes (if they pee in the belly band). The boys have been wearing the belly bands more around the house and this has worked great for us. |
