Anyone heard of CET HEXtra Chews (dental care)??? I have a bunch of bags of these dental chews for an 11-25 pound dogs, but but I've never heard of them before. They just sort of happend to fall into my lap and I'd like to get rid of them, but I don't want to sell/give them away if they aren't something good for dogs. I found this link: http://www.absolutelypets.com/cheprchwich.html Thanks guys :) I want to make sure they're safe before I start offering them away. lol |
we had them for our min pin a while back. dh did a lot of research on them before buying them and didn't find anything wrong with them....but i really don't know much. we gave them to the min pin and cocker...but i never gave them to maggie....as she was a small pup when we had them. |
Milo loves them, as long as they are fresh, if I miss and don't close the bag all the way I can forget about it he won't touch them. You should cut the in half and try them before giving them away. |
Can they be given to yorkies? I was thinking I could cut them, but I wasn't sure if they were okay for smaller dogs. Thanks :) |
I get them from my vet, we use the petite ones, you might want to just go online and compare the size you have with the petite and see if there is any difference in the ingredients mine are for dogs under 11 lbs. |
I didn't think of that! lol. I'm gonna go check. Thanks :D |
Someone else just suggested them to me~ she said her vet had recommended them also (but they do come in different sizes)...she said she only gives them about twice a week and they help with plaque/tartar buildup...here's the link to the thread here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=112321 |
What exactly are they??/ Ive been looking for something that Chewy will enjoy and will clean her teeth at the same time....What do they look like? what are they made of? Are they natural or rubbery like greenies? |
I think I would cut them in half too and keep an eye on your baby. My vet recommends them, and I've heard really great things about them, but they did upset one of my little guy's tummy. He chews regular rawhide with no problem, but I think maybe the chlorhexidine maybe was too much for his tummy??? My other yorkie (Charlie) had no problem with them at all. |
Yeah, I'm gonna call the company tomorrow and see what they say about cutting it in half and how often I should give it to him. If they say it's ok, then I'll keep some of the ones that I have. Oh and Marina, to answer your question, I pulled this from the site: CET HEXtra Premium Chews combine the mechanical action of rawhide, the renowned antimicrobial power of chlorhexidine and the trusted C.E.T. name in a convenient, palatable chew for dogs. They look kinda like a dried pigs ear. lol. I haven't even opened one of the bags yet, but when I do, I'll let you know if they have an odor. Thanks for all your help guys! I've never heard about these things from my vet and they seem like a good solution to my dog's dirty teeth in addition to brushing :) |

Does anyone know if you can cut the Medium sized ones in half for a smaller dog? I've tried calling the company, but I keep getting voicemail. I even have the direct line for one of the CSR's over there, but I guess people just don't answer their phone :( |
