Doggie Strollers I was wondering how popular dog strollers are. Where do you take them and in what ways are they helpful. I would think that people would be more quick to notice that you have a dog if it is in a stroller, rather then a dog purse. I cant image that it would be a good way to sneak a furbaby. |

In Sam's stroller.. he goes into Ross, TJMaxx, Kohls, Catos, Tuesday Morning, Big Lots, the mall... His purse... he goes into WalMart and Target where its frowned upon on bringing the animals in but I do it anyway. Home Depot or Lowes, I just carry him and sit him in the buggie. I agree with Marci ... the strollers these days look just like baby strollers 'cept maybe the lil paw on the side  |
I've only seen these one time but was thinking about getting one. I think it would be GREAT to take along with us when we're out fishing at some of the lakes that have sidewalks all around them. This is my first time owning a Yorkie/Chiuahuah mix so I'm not familiar with how much they can walk before their worn out, this would be a great thing to have to take her along with us, let her walk when she wants and then put her in her stroller when she gets to tired and needs to rest. Oh the thought of sneaking her into the store with us, oh I LOVE, it, lol! |
I have a question, how many of you here have the doggy strollers? How many of you sneak them into stores with you? How many of you have been busted by management and told to leave that you can't have your dog in their store? Do your dogs bark in the stroller when you have them in the store with you? Lol! |
I've had a stroller about a year and a half now and LOVE it! So many people say "OMG I thought that was a baby in there!" I've used it a lot: I take her to the mall in it & other stores where I don't want to carry her (never used it to sneak in though...but you could probably throw a blanket over it) I used it at a huge outdoor dog event here. I had Lacy & Rylie with me and there were too many people and dogs to have them walking around and it was easier having them both in the stroller I outlet shopped all day once and had Lacy with me and it was so nice having her in the stroller instead of having to actually carry her and have that weight on my shoulder all day I walked around downtown Austin all day with her once. There is no way she could have walked that far. And she got to go into the capitol because she was in her stroller. I went diamond digging at a park one day. Dogs were allowed but had to be leashed. Well, how am I supposed to dig and hold onto a leash all day? So i took her stroller and it was a great way to contain her and she was comfortable in it. They are really nice to have  |
Actually, I was wondering the same thing. How do you handle it if you get caught? Are they really nasty to you? I tried it once in WalMart but my little one threw up when we got back in the vehicle. Haven't done it since. Joanne :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :dog: |

This is so funny, but I just called my hubby in here and I said, honey, ya know how we plan on going fishing, camping, walking and all that stuff in the spring and summer? Well, I had it all planed out, he was supposed to say ya, then I was gonna say, well, how far do you think Maggy could walk before she got tired, I mean, we plan on taking her with us, and he was supposed to say, I don't know, well, I already had the page pulled up with the pink stoller on it (but minimized so he couldn't see it yet, and I was then gonna say, well, what do you think about getting her one of these? Well, my hubby knows me so well that the furthest I got was: "honey, ya know how we plan on going fishing, camping, walking and all that stuff in the spring and summer?" I didn't even get a chance to show him the picture yet and he said, honey, if ya wanna get her a stoller or something, that's fine, I don't care, you can get her whatever you want. LOLOL!!! I said, hey, how'd you do that?! How'd you know what I was gonna ask? LOL! He said, I just know you, lol. So I showed him the stoller and told him it was $109 cause I wanted the pink one for her, he said, I don't care how much it costs, if that's the one you want for her, then get it. YAYYYY!!! I'm gonna be able to have a stoller to take Maggy May with us and push her around when she gets to tired. And then of course there's the times we'll be partners in crime by sneaking her into stores she's not supposed to be in, lol. |
.... with all the 'Friends' I have already makeing fun of me ALL the time ... I wount even dare to buy one and put her in it .... When we go for walks ... we go to pick up my Daughter from the Schoolbus ....so it is not too fare for her. And we (well Hubby.... he loves Chick Attention :D ) carry her when we go to the Fleamarket. |
Conner has a stroller that looks just like a baby stroller. I also put a blanket over the top part, and he can see out of the front (it it black so you really can't see through it too easily). We use it to go to the mall - we went into Hollister and Conner does not like it when you stop. I was checking out and he kept moving in the stroller making it move. I had to rock the stroller back and forth just like a baby so he wouldn't make any noise!! We also use it when we go to the outdoor outlet shops. We let him walk when it is not crowded, then put him in the stroller when we want to get going (he has to sniff everything). We use it when we go to flea markets or when we travel. We went to Maine and used it to shop. Dogs are allowed in most outdoor restaurants. We put Conner in the stroller with his food, and he is happy (hubby sneaks him a french fry every now and then). I used the stroller when we went to Home Depot. The cashier asked me if the baby was a girl or a boy. I said a boy. She then asked me how old he was. I had to tell her that my dog was in there, as I have trouble lying. She called everyone over to see the dog in the stroller! Conner is having his LP surgery tomorrow, and I will keep him in his stroller. He has to be wherever I am in the house, so I will be able to wheel him into the room I am in. He will also sleep in the stroller, as he usually sleeps with us, and I can put the stroller right next to the bed. My husband was skeptical about the stroller but even he loves it since our trip to Maine. |
I lost my last post on here so trying again......her is my stroller, they are not so popular in uk as usa, so i chose one that wasnt so like a baby buggy, more of a pet carrier. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ystroller2.jpg |
