Rump scooting Does anyone else have the problem that after your little one goes #2 he scoots his rump across the floor? any advise on how to prevent this? |
i always thought that meant that they had worms....might be wrong. i think i porberbly am hehe |
i just read on the internet that it could be a problem with the anal gland? maybe go to the vets/groomers to get it expressed? good luck with that :) let us know how you get on |
Mine does this only if she gets "some" stuck to her butt if her hair is too long. Then I have to wipe her butt:rolleyes: I have heard that it could have something to do with anal glands. |
Yup, dingle berries for sure! Holly did it every time she went until I shaved around the area, now no more scooting. Vet said no worms and no problems with anal glands. |
My little Bailey has to have her anal glands "expressed" a couple times a year, my groomer does it. I was shocked when I saw what came out. Maggie doesn't have that problem, only the occasional "dingle berry". LOL I always wipe their bottoms with a warm wipe after they go potty. |
Mine does it even when she doesnt have anything stuck back there.... Her anal gland seems fine but i dont take her to a groomer so shes never had it expressed. If you keep the hair under the tail trimmed down, check for a lump on the tooshie. mine has a slight bump but the vet said it was fine. |
