When hes does it poop smears out on the floor! Good thing hes doing it on the kitchen floor , for easy clean up!! So what does this mean?? Should I take him to the vet int the morning?? Someone please help!! |
i just posted the same thread today too. I heard it could be worms or "expressed anal glands" maybe you should just keep an eye on him and call the vet if it continues.. thats what iam doing. keep me posted on what they tell ya! |
i would take him to the vet. better to be safe than sorry. i hope the little guy geta better keep us posted. |
Coco used to do that. But I began washing her toosh and drying it after each poo and that helped. I think it just itches down there sometimes and sometimes they just want to wipe their rear on your floor...hehe |
Sometimes it gets stuck in their hair. I know it sounds gross, but sometimes I have to pick Tino up and take some tissue and "wipe him." Otherwise take a look at the thread from earlier and read abt needing to get your vet to express the anal glands. |
My Lexus just did that yesterday, she just got some poo stuck to her butt so I just took some baby wipes and cleaned it and she haven't done it since. |
I will take Parker to the vet to get check maybe she need the anal glands expressed or maybe poop was stuck on the hair. |
When dogs scoot their butt on the floor. It is usually their anal glands. Their anal glands are at the 5 and 7 o'clock position in the butt. They usually express when they have a bowl movement. But not all dogs are able to express them, themselves. So usually your vet will do it or groomer or you could learn to do it yourself. They can get infected too. I express my one dogs anal glands she is the only one that seems to have this problem. The fluid that is in those glands is very stinky. Hope that helps. Wendy@newyorkies.net |
