Rishona is a splitter and closely related to Angel. They have the same father, Donald and Rishona's grandmother is Angel's mother, Emmelie. Clear as mud? Rishona has two 12 week old puppies. The girl Biewer will be going to CA this next week and her splitter boy is looking for his forever home still. You know me, I don't push them out until the right home has been found. I have been in a hurry before and always regret it. I have two boys that are just leaving at 7 months. |
The Geneology is a bit confusing....I don't blame you at all for keeping them until the perfect person comes along. There is apt to be less heartache down the road. Keep posting pictures, love to see them. I'll have to go to BT soon haven't been on there for months. I'll send you one of Angel soon. |
BT is just about dead. Very little going on there. I pop in about once a week to see if anyone is needing anything or if there is any news. There are other forums out there, but most of them are places where one of the Biewer clubs hang out and bash the other Biewer clubs. If you can look past all of the bickering there is much to be learned. They also kick people off for no reason. I was told that I was copying posts and giving them to another lady, that I did not even know at the time. Just because I did not belong to their Biewer club, I was considered the enemy I guess. Way to busy to care, with puppies, school, a graduation this year and wedding next year to plan for. Don't know how I squeezed in a part time job before? |
Checking in again :D Our new little sister joined us today :) :) :) :) |

I do not own a biewer but I had a question , I have been told that they are a separate breed and also that they are a color variation of the yorkie so that being said either way do they have the same health risks as a yorkie liver shunt, lp. I was just wondering because when some dogs become popular they can be over breed to meet demands witch can cause health problems or vice versa when a breed is protected by the true breed lovers it can mean the breed has fewer problems. |
Yes, they share the same health issues as yorkies and all small dog breeds: teeth, LP, LS, easily injured. |

I have a question...with Biewers, it "appears" that more are soft coated (like a maltest) than silk coated (like yorkies). Biewers look very fluffy to me. So the question...are there more soft coated biewers than silk? |

I have very limited experience with Yorkies from Europe so I'm not sure if the European Yorkies have the same coat as the Yorkie coats we have here either so since the Biewers have come from the German Yorkies, don't know if that's where the difference lies or not. The soft coats really are a bear to take care of though I can tell you that!! -Diana :animal-pa |
