THESE are Morkies?? Not like any I'VE ever seen!! :eek: These look more like Shih Tzu mixes or something...there's NO way those are Yorkie/Maltese mixes. I think someone is a little confused...and for that money? :rolleyes:

Yep, they look like shih tzu mixes. People are dumb and will pay extra if the word "designer" is attached to it.

I have 3 "designer" babies :p

I was definitely uninformed and wouldn't go there again, but I can see how people fall in love -- they're very cute.

I'm not sure if they're Morkies -- sometimes mixes do weird things, or possible was there a yorkie/shih tzu mix or something and they were bred with a maltese, hmm..

Thanks I am there now....waiting on the images to load!!! OK finally well that are cute but not as cute as the Yorkies. :animal36 Think I will stay purebred.

I don't know anything about mixes but I think I remember reading something here about how the morkie's look is determined by if the yorkie is the mother or father? Something about one way they end up with more of the yorkie coloring and one way with more white. Does anyone know anything about this?

They DO look like morkies..My sister used to breed yorkies, and they look just like hers did at that age, but, she never got that kind of money out of hers

I don't really understand or "get" designer breeders but I think morkie puppies are so cute! I've never seen one as an adult though.

My Jambo is a Morkie. He is 5 months old currently. Mama is a Maltese and pop is a Yorkie.

They don't look like Morkies to me...and I've seen lots of them. They look like SHORKIES (Shih Tzu and Yorkie mix) - I could be totally wrong here, but that's what I see when I look at those cuties ;)

The morkie # 4 looks exactly like my friend's shih tzu-poodle mix. Right down to the coloring and the placement of the spots! I can't believe they are charging more for a Morkie than a yorkie. And what's even crazier is that someone actually paid that!

He is about 5lbs at 5 months right now. He'll probably get 6-7 lbs? He gets attention wherever I take him. He has a very cute face. I think he got the best traits of both breeds. He feels more Yorkie though. When he was a tiny baby, his ears were floppy like a Maltese, coloring Yorkie. Now his little ears stand straight up.
