Shampoo and Conditioner
 
:confused: Hi everyone. I will be picking up my new baby girl on Thursday. I'm throwing around names in my head, but I won't officially name her until I have her in my arms. I will be sure to make a formal introduction (with tons of pics!) to all of the wonderful ppl here on YT.

I am trying to find out what types of shampoo and conditioner to buy. I've searched the threads and have come across a few different brands, but I wanted to find out what everyone here was using. I remember one thread where the poster swore by Pantene conditioner, but when I went down the Pantene aisle, there were about 10 (or more!) different conditioners. What do you suggest?

BTW, Baby girl is 14 weeks old. I think I read somewhere that they need "puppy shampoo" for awhile?

I use Buddy Wash....You can get it from barkaholics.com. Its safe, affordable and makes my puppies coat SO soft.....Plus it makes your dog smell really good. I would never suggest human shampoo on pets because of the PH balance but thats just my opinion.

I like Fresh & Clean Oatmeal and Baking Soda Shampoo and Conditioner. It smells so good - like a dryer sheet! I've been using them for like 2 years now. You can buy them at Petsmart

That's what I use too.

About a year or two ago, Britney and Brooklyn were having problems with really dry, itchy skin so I bought it to try and it worked great! It's very reasonably priced- I think I pay 3.99 a bottle although it's more at other pet stores, including Petsmart.

do you get it at a wholesale price? It's still pretty reasonably retail priced. I think I paid $5.99 for a bottle of the conditioner last weekend. The highest I've seen it priced was $9.00. The bottles last me a long time too

I use Cain and Able Lavender conditioning shampoo. It smells so great.
NOT like a flower or food..lol IT smells like she spent a day at the spa.
OH and it has other natura scents in it that help repel fleas:D

I really like the F&C Oatmeal & Baking Soda too, I also sometimes use the Coconut "Just Add Water" from Target. It smells really good, and the coconut is good for dry skin. So, both of those are really good choices...

I buy it from a pet store but it's a HUGE one so I maybe they buy so much that they can sell it for less.

Thanks everyone. They all sound like they smell soooo good!! I can't wait!! Our vet appointment is Friday morning, so I will ask the vet for his opinion on the type of skin she has. It sounds like that makes a difference in what you use. Then I will have fun going to the local PetCo and sniffing all of the smell-goods! (My husband HATES when I do that in Bath and Body Works!)

I don't know about all PetCo's but the PetCo here doesn't have much of a selection of shampoos. Petsmart has almost a whole isle full though

I use Buddy Wash and I love it, but I am always looking for another great product...I am addicted to buying new shampoo and conditoner, so I am going to try Fresh & Clean Oatmeal and Baking Soda Shampoo and Conditioner too.
