Is it true (re: ears).... That you shouldn't pet a yorkies ears (pushing them down or back when petting their head etc.) because it could cause the cartilage to break, therefore causing the ear to remain forever floppy? Brooke |
ears Have you ever seen the way puppies and adults play with each other? I have seen my pups drag each other by the ears..adults rough house and wrap themselves up in blankets, ears going every which way...never hurt any ears around here. |
Ears.. All I know is that Sophie had the floppiest ears...but then she went in for her 3rd set of puppy shots at 12 wks...and the very next morning... Both ears were up by themselves....  That shot made them stand :D ...and they have not gone down again...its so funny because she now moves them all over in many ways...like reception for a t.v...lol :p |
I'm glad to hear it...I was told the same thing. Between my kids and neices and nephews I just decided that her ears are NEVER going to stand up. There are too many kids and all I ever heard myself saying was "don't touch her ears!!!!!" |
tobys ears have always been floppy ....... i prefer them this way, if you stand them up and take a good look...... he looks pretty silly with his ears up....lol |
I can't imagine I have one that had ears up from day one and one that had hers flop, so I had to tape them for a week, then they stayed up. I handled both puppies the same. |
