New to the Site Hello everyone I am new to the site and I just wanted to say hello. My name is Eve. I have a wonderful little Yorkie named Tinkerbell. She is a year old. I was hoping to breed her but am reconsidering because because she has 2 umbilical hernias. One hernia is kinda of large but the other was almost nonexistent. I believe it is gone now. They are bi-lateral. The thing is one vet said that if I get them fixed that I should have no problem breeding her. Then we saw another vet the next time we went in for vaccinations and she said that she wouldn't do it. Then I also hear that they can be passed on when she has pups. Anybody have any opinion/suggestions? Thanks for the help:aimeeyork ;) |

Welcome to YT! |
Welcome to YT! No advice on the breeding except for consulting with the vet. |
No advise myself, I am sure you will get a lot though;) Welcome to YT! |
welcome to you and tinkerbell! :D i am not a breeder but when i got my little boy, he had a very small hernia and my breeder said because of this he should NOT be bred (not that i was going to and he is AKC limited registration anyway but she was very firm about this) ... i would definitely see what a vet who is an expert in toy breeds would say |
Welcome to YT and look forward to pictures. I highly suggest you post your question under Breeder Talk section to get answers but be forewarned. There are a lot of passionate yorkie moms that say what they feel :) |
