Baby Gates... Just thought I would share and idea I love having. In one of our doors I placed a baby gate in it so Parker cannot escape while that door is open (we don't have screen door in it yet:rolleyes:) But as silly as it may look it could prevent a run away as he cannot get over the gate. I just thought this was a good idea for those "runners" out there. Luckily our primary door is our laundry room door so there is a separate door to keep Parker out before opening the other one..I hope I didn't confuse you :p (he doesn't really charge any door but just in case!)...but like I said I just thought it was a great idea if you have a runner! :) |
i have always used baby gates. I have one between the living room and the rest of the house. Mine stay in my living room. Recently, I put one up near the front door because when the doorbell rang, I couldn't open the door. so now I just step over and open the door and the babies can't run out. |
Baby gates are wonderful. We even used a modified one in our caravan when we go away. Sheilagh |
My whole house is covered in baby gates, lol :) We couldn't do without them here either! |
I have one at my front door also. I dont trust one of mine to not may a run for it. |

I have one at my front door also and one at my basement stairway ,cause I leave my basement door open so my cats can go down stairs to use the litter box. |
Mine are both pretty good at stopping at the doorway as long as we're not too distracted. So we don't use this right now, but I will drag it back out at the first sign of necessity. We kept a couple of connected pieces of one of those wire storage cubes at the front door. It stands only about 12 inches tall, and that way we could answer the door easily and "people" could easily step over it. But the doggies were stopped by it. |
