welcome to YT! |
Depends on if you can even find find one to rescue- or if they will approve you! I do not know about in your area, but aroundher it is hard to get a rescue animal! For reasons like other pets, unaltered pets,sm. children, unfenced yard, working long hours! They are not easy to work with around here! Some are much easier, though! And rescue dogs sometimes- not always- have issues- couldn't be housebroken, food aggression, health problems, but then some are just wonderful, also! I had one I had for almost 14 years- it was a great dog! I got really lucky- he was healthy and very smart! Just figure out what you want, and when you see the right one, you will know, weather it is a rescue or from a breeder! Good luck! |

There are lots of rescues out there waiting for new homes. Adopting a rescue opens space for the rescue org. or humane society to take in more animals that would of been euthanized. Some rescues have issues you need to work on, and some are very happy and well adjusted off the bat. Either way you would be putting in work for a rescue or a new puppy. If you go the route of a puppy, make sure its reputable breeder, not a broker, or backyard breeder. As far as pure breed goes, in the end its still a dog. You may start looking for a pure breed, but come across a mix that steals your heart. One of my boys is a rescue and a mix, he is the sweetest dog I have ever come across (and I'm not just saying that because he is my dog;)). |
