Interesting idea
 
It would be great if someone would come up with gps microchip that would be implanted in pets so that way we would be able to know where your pet is at all times even if someone stole it or it ran off. See people came out now with the gps collar but if the dog is stolen all that person have to do is take it off. They wont be able to take off the gps microchip because it would be implanted in the pet. That might stop some horrible people stealing your pets. Imagine and apperantly it happens a lot lately, someone stole your baby and you have that gps microchip in your furkid, how glad would you be knowing that you have this great feature, and you go and find your baby! I am looking towards this new invention of a gps microchip!

They do have that, but it is a collar. Good idea, but mine dont wear collars; dont want them getting hung up and choked.

i think what i saw was the collar...sorry! but you're right, that would be amazing... i'd feel so much better with that inside Belle, but i think it won't be long before it happens... the technology is there, it's only a matter of time :D

I don't think it already exists, but I could certainly be wrong...

The collar GPS systems are out there, but of course, easily removed by unscrupulous individuals with the intention of stealing our little ones...

As for an implant such as the current microchip implant that we have now... I'm not sure that would be, one - possible... and two, healthy..... as such a device would have to have some type of power source........ wouldn't it?

Probably would need some sort of power source but who knows maybe in the future someone could come up with something that doesnt need power source.
