Yorkie Stealing A friend of my dautghter's was in the Walmart on Winchester here in Memphis. She had her Yorkie in one of those purses. Someone took her dog and replaced it with a weight that would feel like it. The young lady did not discover it until check out.....yes I know, our worst nightmare. |

It was a 3 month old baby. Amber used to carry Mika in one of those when she was tiny, but she's too big now. |
 WOW..Those kind of people are just scum!! So sorry for your daughters friend..that had to be so horrible for her!! I can't imagine... |
thats so horrible! were there security cameras or anything?! |
How did they get the dog out of the bag and the weight in without her noticing? |
How in the world could someone do that without your daughter's friend noticing? Did she set the purse down for a while...or have it in her cart and turn her back? What a sad story...I feel so bad for the owner. |
Oh I would be crying if that happened. I make sure never to turn my back or take my hands of the bag. Even when you are shopping with your purse they will steal anything. Even kids so nothing we can trust out there. I can't imagine that happening and they didn't locate the person. I know they watch for shop lifters |
Pickpocketers do this for a living, they are good at it. One of the faculty I support took a trip to France with a friend of hers and the daughter. While riding a tram, and talking to some gentleman, he ran off the train right as the doors closed and she found her wallet was missing. |
I have a celltei bag, and I also try to put the seatbelt kind of thing... so people cannot just pull her out.. |
I would ask if they could see anyone who might have done this on the store security cams! |
thats just messed up.. Whoever did this went STRAIGHT out the store, you know they did:( |
Oh my gosh! I hope she had the puppy microchipped/tattooed. Imagine how much the puppy will have to deal with. It's probably being fed a different food now, having stomach aches. I hope she posts missing flyers! |
This is horrible!!!! I would demand security camera's tapes! They have cameras all over that store! |

I also wonder if because she wasn't supposed to have her dog in the store if Walmart can refuse to offer any sort of help (re. secruity camera footage and such)? |

These are all the details my daughter gave me. She's out of town right now or I would ask her for more, if she knows, all she knows is she won't take Mika out too many places. |

I got the impression that it was a bag like my daughter was carryng Mika in when she was little, not a proper "doggie" bag, but a canvas tote bag. |
WOW that is CRAZY! How did she not notice? Did she have one of those carriers that hangs on the back? Every time i take mine in the carrier and have it open i put on their security harness attachents incase anyone tries to just take them out and on top of the i always have my hand in the bag petting them so i know they're there. I also keep the bag hanging in front of me or on the side, i just get too worried. One time this guy was walking with his Yorkie in a sling carrier but it was behind him and the Yorkie was like half out, i was like omg if she's not strapped in anyone can just snatch her real quick. |
How awful:( so sorry. |
