When you get up at 5 a.m., just remember there are many other yorkie moms that are up at the same hour. My little Muffin always slept until 7 a.m. after she grew up. My little Kacee (just turned 13 weeks Saturday) sleeps no later than 6 a.m. This morning it was 5:30! Getting up so early isn't such a problem, but when you consider that you have to go to bed late so they'll sleep a little later it all takes a toll on a person! |

Remy's groomer say Remy does this when she uses the blow dryer to dry under his belly. He starts to paddles. :p |

Yeah - yorkie usa, I used to be able to get on YT in the morning. I would just get up with Zowie and Bronx when the puppies woke them up. Let them out back, yack, let them in, yack. Now the puppies are taking up 1-2 hours to potty, eat, potty, play, potty - about 4-5 times a day. Lots of giggles, all I have time to do in the house is clean up puppy messes. |

I had a little yorkie drown in our fish pond. He enjoyed the fish food too. I had put up a wrought iron fence around ours because it was such a facinating place to all of my yorkies. He was so little he figured out how to get between the fence and the pond and when he went in the fence made it harder for him to get out. I don't want anyone to go through loosing one of their babies.. |
I noticed Pepper's story was shared... Thankyou Laura....just be careful...I was so sure my guys were safe and leaving the pond alone. |
I am so sorry for your loss, sidney! My pond is right beside my pool. I never leave the pups outside alone because of this(even the older ones). I did put up a cage now, so I can gather them all up in case I need to run to the bathroom. Even when they all can swim, I am always outside with them. I have a terrible fear of something happening that I can never forgive myself for - due to prewarning - which is what I considered my little one falling in the pool. |
You sound very careful. Its just such a shock when something like that happens. I know it has made me alot more careful which is good. We have a swimming pool too and I have it so yorkie proofed I don't think a mouse could get through. :) |
Yes, We have wrought iron fencing around the pool and pond, but some already has a wire fence attached to it. I told my hubby we could put that all around so the puppies could use the whole yard. We have a Sheltie visiting next week for a few days, so I think he is going to put it up to keep him away from the puppies, just in case. I am really bad with them, when kids hold them - I pick them up from their lap on a couch or chair and ask them to sit on the floor. They are getting so big and playful, but are really so little and fragile. |
